Holika Holika Face Mask Review; Green Tea, Rosy Peach, Lavender, and Lemon Tea!

My tl;dr is Lemon Tea is the best face ever and you should get it but feel free to read along to see how I felt about the other masks.

This post took me foreverrrrr to post because I don’t often use face masks/I don’t have the time to as I prefer to netflix it away when I’m at home trying to relax anyways.

Bam! As you can see I don’t know really whats up after my lemon tea mask but it made my skin GLOW! I felt fantastic -baby. 😉

Counting down from which I found best.

Last place – Green Tea-

Overall a bit of disappointment, compared to the others I didn’t see a visual difference but maybe it’s not what outside that counts….Or not? Who knows I didn’t find that this mask really did any except hydrate my skin really, but skin is only skin deep ( hah. hah. ) But according to the website (I’ll put a picture at the bottom so you don’t have to check it online) it’s only suppose to be moisturizing. So if you into that you can get it. But I wouldn’t pay $2 for it, as I have a lot of face lotions.

Number 3 is Rosy Peach Tea-

What it’s suppose to do is Skin Clarifying… Not really sure what that means, maybe overall toning of the face, evening out skin tones? But it was nice and I liked the smell….peachy 🙂 It was fantastic nor was it a total bummer so it has a solid #3 slot.

Number 2 is the Lavender –

Supposedly suppose to “Skin Soothing” which I would translate as helping reduce redness overall in the face, but I can’t tell if my cheeks are a naturally a bit red and this helped a bit, but I think it made my skin look glowy so I gave it second place.

Number 1 – LEMON TEA! –

Not only is lemon tea my favorite because of the awesome dewy/glowy skin it gave me, but because I loved the scent. But I just love the scent of lemons overall. It’s suppose to give you “Transparent Skin” and I guess it does! Well worth the $2 I paid for it because….I felt like a dewy goddess or something after it. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. And I’d recommend it 10/10.

I also got the Lovely ME:EX You & Face Blusher in (09) cinnamon dream, which is their darkest contour color and their Eyelashes (01)? Beer and Korean food goodies

So I recently went back to Toronto for christmas(relatives and such) so on Boxing Day I decided to hang out with my friend Kirill.

We decided to meet at the eaton centre ON BOXING DAY. LOL

Yeah not so smooth planning on our parts. LOL

The whole thing was bad planning but we still had tons of fun!

First we went to Ka Chi for lunch we a beer, we chose the 500ml Sapporo as opposed to the 340ml cause we’re hardcore! LOL at 1pm LOL.

JK I also ate really good soon dobu jigae, they actually had a lot of options but in the end I chose the pork and vegetables one LOL ❤

Ka Chi is pretty freaking good Korean food, I would recommend it to anyone really.

Next we went to our fav and only pub Sins and Redemption!!!

We both had two beers,

I had FRÜLI’S STRAWBERRY BEER AND IT WAS AMAZINNGGGGGGG. I’m in love.

20121228-093209.jpg

It is the redish pink drink next to me. DELICIOUS OH NOM NOM NOM

Next I had the somersby cider, a though a very good hard cider I was too love struck by the FRÜLI to truly enjoy it!

Fun fact about Sins is that they seem to have all the cups that go with the brand drink. ^^

Hope you all had a wonder Christmas!

Ka Chi, bibimbap

YUMMM one of my most favorite Korean dish is bibimbap!

A rice dish in a hot stone pot with assorted vegetables, beef and an egg!

The best part is that in the end you can eat the burnt rice. Nom nom nom.

I had it at Ka Chi, though it was completely crowded at 6 pm on a Sunday it was worth it. Ka Chi was great! 🙂

Try it sometime.

Over 1000 views! And Korean food!

YAYYYY thank you to all my readers! I’ve finally reach 1000 views!

I’m going to give myself a pat on the back and virtually give you all a high five! *high five*

20121015-173422.jpg

That was just proof. XD

So onto the Korean food!

I went to the Owl of Minerva, I went to the branch located in dragon city centre!

I ordered the Gom Tang, or beef bone soup!

20121015-173558.jpg

And I really like the Bon chon that came with the soup!!! Mmm side dishes, yum.

20121015-173829.jpg

I was a bit tempted to try the Soju, but at $15 CAD I didn’t think it was worth drinking alone. LOL

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the Gom Tang itself. It was a bit bland and I had to put a lot of salt into it to even have a bit of taste. But I really like the Gamja Tang there, so next time I’m there I’ll get that. XD

Thanks for reading! 🙂

Korean food and a drink?!

So yesterday I had met up with a friend, girl (YAY!).

We decided to try a new Korean place on Dundas called ‘Kimchi Korea House’.

Also huge plus, they had wifi! Huzzah!

I had wanted to order Soju but unfortunately their liqueur license hadn’t gone thru yet, poop. But the waiter informed us that they were getting it soon!

For an appetizer we had ordered Takoyaki, octopus balls, at $7.50 they were kind of pricey and a bit disappointing because they were the frozen stuff. I could’ve bought a bag of frozen Takoyaki in Boston for $10 so yeah that was disappointing.

20121003-110703.jpg

But fortunately the Kimchi Chigae(stew) made up for my disappointments, because it was legitimately DELICIOUS. I believe it was about $9. If anything I would recommend you go there just for that! It was much better than the kimchi Chigae I had gotten Korea House on Bloor in K-town!

It was still bubbling when the waiter had brought it to me!

The rice was also very nice and fluffy, great rice texture! 😀

20121003-111237.jpg

My friend had gotten the kimchi pancake which was nice and crispy! But we both agreed that the kimchi Chigae was the bomb.

20121003-111526.jpg

Also the meal came with a complimentary salad, and of course bon chon!
Yum, I loved the pickled radish!

20121003-111640.jpg

Overall a decent meal!

After we walked a bit further down to ‘Jack Astor’s’ to get a drink and dessert!

It was a bit exciting to use my legal status in Toronto for the first time as they had ‘carded’ me but I was a bit sketch and gave them my passport LOL. My Ontario photo ID hasn’t come in yet.

But I had ordered a beautiful ‘Blue Raspberry Lemonade’ and I had it ‘jacked up’ with an extra shot and it was still delicious! I barely tasted the alcohol, it was nice and light!

20121003-112137.jpg
And we had also gotten a Red Velvet cake which was AMAZINNGGG.

20121003-112242.jpg

This is how much I enjoyed the kimchi chigae! 🙂
