BNTnews x VELY VELY Sliding Butter Crayon Lipstick (Dragonfruit)

My love from another Star. I know, I know I’m late to the Cheon Song Yi lip party, but now that I’ve finished and obsessed with her gorgeous pink color I was pretty excited to try the fuchsia pink-red lip color I got from bntNews.

Today I’ll be reviewing VELY VELY Sliding Butter Crayon Lipstick in shade Dragonfruits.

It’s a double sided lip crayon, one sided being the lip crayon itself and the other side being a blender, to blend away the lines itself.

It’s a beautiful bright pink which can brighten up any lip color, and enhance the lips. They bring a bright youthful color to the face.

To apply it like it was meant to be, I first applied it to the inside of my lips and then blended it away with the blender applicator.

It’s a super bright and fun pink and I really love the color.

All you have to do afterwards is blend it into the rest of the lip, to give nice a soft gradient look on the lips.

Honestly, I really really really love the texture and the look of the lip crayon itself but I hated the fact that it got EVERYWHERE. It smudges and keeps on smudging as long as there’s some on your lip left. I wore it for 8 hours and even after that insane amount of time there was still some product left on my lips but also some product left on all my cups.

As you can see there’s some product on the back of my hand, and can you imagine 8 hours of it going on every single surface my lips touch? I went though half a dozen of cups and all those cups have stains on them.

So I got nice pretty Cheon Song Yi lips but I didn’t get a Do Min Joo, I got like a version of him in stains, instead of seeing him everywhere I got to see stains everywhere.

Honestly, it’s a nice lip product with a lovely texture, but I hated that it transferred everywhere. So if you can deal with the transfers you can get it here.

I’m rating this a 7/10. Lovely color, hated the transfer.

BNTgirl x STYLENANDA 3CE Matte Lip Color #907 Old Dress

MLBB. You may have heard this term before from other bloggers, or instagrammers, it stands for My Lips But Better. I think I’ve found mine.

Lately, trending lip colors have been “brick” colors or MLBBs which enhance or look like natural lip colors. So today I’ll be reviewing what I think is my perfect MLBB.

It works both in day and night situations, and just perfectly flatters my lip color.

I’ll be reviewing STYLENANDA 3CE Matte Lip Color (Shade: #907 Old Dress).

3ce10

When I put it on for the first time, I noticed how strikingly similar it was to my actual lip color, but slight darker and it was love at first sight. It was my lips but darker, and matte. It was love.

So first I’ll showcase my natural lips (sorry the photo is a bit blurred).

And after:

ENHANCE LIPS ENHANCE!

It a nice mauve color, like a brick, and it creates a nice matte finish that lasts all day.

The color worked well when I had heavy night make up in Las Vegas and lighter day make up when I went to a Vineyard in Temacula. It made the perfect transition day to night lip color, make it my favorite lipstick to grab  for in my bag. I knew it always worked well.

It’s seriously has been my favorite lippie to just wear any time of the day and everyday. It has been my staple and livelihood.

Like the other 3CE lipstick I reviewed I of course like this one just as much if not more!

The perfect lip shade for everyday!

You can get it here for $19.

I give this product a 10/10. I’m going to wear it till it’s gone.

BNTgirl x Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Watery Cream

In my last blog I spoke about white winters, and what happens when I come home from Los Angeles? White out. Yeahhhhhh ski weather!

But obviously they’re some downsides to the cold weather, one of which is the dry dry, super dry skin that occurs. I have to blast the heat at home, or I might die. So instead of me dying, my body takes a casualty, my skin.

Today I’ll be reviewing a product that has been an immense help for my winter skin; NATURE REPUBLIC Ginseng Royal Watery Cream. Super fancy stuff.

Now, you might ask why I say super fancy, and I say it is because BA-BAM GOLD FLAKES! GINSENG! ROYAL JELLY! GOLD SILKWORM! Tell me that doesn’t look fancy.

Every time I put it on my face I feel like a K-Pop star, and that’s not only because of the super fancy ingredients, lots of K-Pop stars feature it in their routines, and I even saw Taeyeon from SNSD post about it on her instagram. Goals!

I’m feeling fancy.

As for the cream itself it does succeed in the “watery” part of it’s name. The cream absorbs quickly and sets as a light cream that can be used in both your day or night routine.

I love that it doesn’t have the “greasy” feel that some creams give off and doesn’t really have a minimum time to allow it to set. I just put on the rest of my make up after using it and my make up doesn’t melt off. Very nice stuff.

Overall I think it keeps my face hydrated and feeling fancy everyday. Who wouldn’t feel fancy rubbing gold flakes all over their face.

But as you guys know, I LOVE PACKAGING THE MOST! A good packaged item got me like bae. And Nature Republic has done wonderfully, to make it not only look high end but feel it too.

It’s a solid container, that has a nice screw on top, and a nice body to hold the cream as well. Plus it’s super sanitary with a little scooper that comes with it.

The fun part about this product was this is the first product I was actually able to see in the physical store. There was a Nature Republic in downtown LA, in Santee Alley.

I give it a 9/10. It was a a great cream, and I feel fancy while using it. But of course if you want to feel fancy you gotta pay that fancy price.

It retails like a high end cream, 66,000 Won in Korea.

But I found a amazon link for $36 here.

BNTgirl x ISILOE Premium Whitening

It beginning to look like a white Christmas.

Oh, not the snow on the ground, I’m in California right now on break, so no snow, I meant my face.

Haha, today I’ll be reviewing ISILOE Premium Whitening Set! It’s a super luxurious set that contains a softener, a cream, and a eye cream (concentrate).

SAMSUNG CSC

First I’ll review the softener, to begin with I had no idea what a softener was so I googled it. What I learned was that it’s basically a toner, and it removes the dead skin cells on your face. You’ll use it before the cream on your face to make sure the cream can be it tip top absorption rate.

SAMSUNG CSC

I tested this product by using it as my night routine for about a month. Overall I found that this was a good set to have, I always woke up with radiant skin that was flawless, no dryness or flaky skin that comes with my combination skin in the winter. Just based off that, I think this product is already a solid 9/10.

So let’s review the toner first, I applied it directly to my face with my hands and patted it down. Though if one wanted to be more sanitary you could use a cotton pad, but I’m lazy.  At first I thought the scent was a bit overwhelmingly floral, but the more I used it as my regular routine I found myself to like and enjoy the scent more.

SAMSUNG CSC

SAMSUNG CSC

But most importantly the container pump is legit the best. Sometimes I find that products are hard to get out of the container, but with this one, you just need to exert the right amount of force needed for the pump mechanism to work. 10/10 I love a good packaging. Hnngggg.

SAMSUNG CSC

The cream is really nice as well, it absorbs into the face easily and doesn’t leave my face greasy feeling, just hydrated. the cream lasts basically 24 hours and keeps my face feeling great for a whole day, I didn’t use a day routine because it just went from night to day flawlessly.

SAMSUNG CSC

It has a much more sensible lighter floral fragrance. and the same great packaging. I’m really in love with the pump, and the lovely hidden gem.

SAMSUNG CSC

TADA. Isn’t the packaging gorgeous? Honestly, the packaging itself has won me over, we can basically stop this review because I’m in love with it.

SAMSUNG CSC

The eye cream concentrate for me was okay, I don’t have a favorite eye cream because they tend to feel a bit too thick for me but this was okay, it didn’t wow me but it did its job! Hydrates the skin under my eye well!

SAMSUNG CSC

Overall I’d rate this product a 9.5/10. Packaging is the best, and if you’re into a pretty but well functioning product go ahead and go wild.

Unfortunately I don’t have a price yet since it’s a new product and I think they’re testing it.

BNTgirl x Pure Heals Ginseng Berry Eye Lift Patch

Oh god I needed these.

Midterms just ended for me and I’m a serious victim of eye bags, not the cute aegyo eye bags, the omg what happened to sleep ones. Also, not to be confused with designer eyebags you obtain from jetsetting to foreign countries for brief amounts of time.

Today I’ll be reviewing Pure Heals Ginseng Berry Eye Lift Patch!

Eye patches are a great mini mask for the eye bags specifically because they still allow you to continue with whatever you’re doing ( in my case, studying like a mad man). So I really appreciate them because they just feel nice in general.

What’s specifically excellent about the Pure Heals one is that not only is it cooling during initial contact but for the entire extended wear of the eye patch entirely. Plus I like the fact is a clear gel, it looks a little bit more normal.

Even better bonus about the eye patches is that they work( at least for me)! I just put them on for 20-30 minutes and continuing the ritualistic studying that is engineering.

Here are some before and after pictures:

Before:

During:

After:

The skin around my eyes definitely plumped back up and looked much healthier.

Does what it’s advertised to do, so that’s super cool.

Only bummer is that the MSRP is 53,000 Korean Won or around $53USD, so it’s quite a baller amount. But if price isn’t a issue or you need some major help ASAP, give it a try.

Still a solid though, so I’d give this a 8.5/10, minus 1.5 for the price. I’m a student, broke life.

BNTgirl x Too cool for school Glossy Blaster Tint (Dinky Pink)

Feeling some deja vu? I am today while reviewing a product I’ve already reviewed once, ta da.

Today I’ll be reviewing Too cool for school Glossy Blaster Tint in shade Dinky Pink. Good news though, it’s a new color that didn’t come with the kit so it’s still a fun new shade to explore! Check out my previous review here.

Check out my cute manicure.

Like previously I wrote that the blaster tints were super easy to apply and finished off with a lovely stained lips effect so it looks like your lips are perfect all day long. I wore the lip stain all day apple picking and it still gave me a cute tinted lip affect even after gorging on some apples and doughnuts. Onomnomnom. Check out that american sized doughnut. Oh dang. ITS HUGE!

But yeah I put it on at 10am and at 2pm (timestamp when the photo was taken) I still had slightly tinted lips even after tea and lunch and lots more food. Lasts forever and stays cute.

The packaging is still cute. Thought the noticeable difference between the full size tint and the kit was obviously the size. The kits were smaller and condensed and the full sized tint felt more like a lip product that I’m used to.

Other than that, it’s still a 10/10 for me!

You can try it out here for $15. Might be better to buy the set to try them all out! 🙂

BNTgirl x Amaranth Vibrant Shimmering CC Cream

Sometimes you wish you could love a product, but sometimes it wasn’t meant to be.

This was one of those cases. I really wanted to love Amaranth Vibrant Shimmering CC Cream but alas it wasn’t meant to be.

I really enjoyed it’s hydrating cream which I reviewed last year, so I had hopes that this cc cream would fill the gap in my make up collection, cc creams. But it wasn’t meant to be.

First thing you’ll notice is in my first picture is the dirty box that I have pictured. Why is it dirty? Because the cc cream is the biggest pain in the butt, it literally smudges and dirties anything I touch after immediate usage of it. The cream that can’t stop and won’t stop. Really annoying.

The packaging is still consistent to it’s previous product that I reviewed. A nice pump that makes it easy to use. Like I said, I really wanted to love this, because the packaging is so awesome and easy to use.

But alas we come to the second big no-no that I can’t do; it’s too pale.

Have you ever wanted to be literally be as pale as a ghost? Now you can!

I never did though, especially with my summer tan still in progress, I looked ridiculous with it on. Now I know some ladies are naturally more paler than others, and I’m usually on the more paler side of the spectrum (in the winter) but as it is now I cannot wear it.

So all in all, it was too “I’LL GET ON EVERYTHING YOU LOVE AND OWN!” and wayyy too pale of a product for me to enjoy.

Sorry Amaranth, didn’t love this.

1/10 cause it was easy to rub myself pale. Maybe if I decide to be the Grudge this Halloween it’ll be a fantastic product.

BNTgirl x STYLENANDA 3CE LONG WEAR EYE CRAYON

Hon hon hon hon hon. Sacre-Bleu! Baguettes? C’est comme je vais retourne en France. France, I’ve returned.

Aujourd’hui (today) I’ll be reviewing STYLENANDA’s 3CE LONG WEAR EYE CRAYON in the shade “Baguette”.

I absolutely love eyeshadow sticks, c’est ma amore. They’re easy to use and completely mess and hassle free. Just put as much as you like on and smudge it out with a finger and you’re ready to go. Or use them as a base color and work off that.

The best part was this formula was completely waterproof. Yeah, baby! No smudging, or creasing or shadows gone awry. Compact and travel friendly, shadow sticks are definitely my friends forever. Honestly I was just tempted to give it a 10/10 review based solely on the fact it was a eyeshadow stick.

But you know, the waterproof and iridescent color made it de creme de la creme (da best).

Now the color itself wasn’t a color I would’ve chosen myself (I’m more of a neutral or pearly colored girl myself) but I work with what I got. Still pretty.

Ohh ahh, multiple colors, one shadow very iridescent.

Eye shadow wise, fantastic. No glittery fall out, and didn’t budge. It made the perfect base to my EOTD (eyeshadow of the day). Superb quality 3CE.

For the crease and to highlight the corners of my eyes I used the Naked 2 palette. The center was simply the eyeshadow stick. And tada, look how pretty it is!

Simple everyday look completed easily with one awesome eyeshadow stick. If this review hasn’t convinced you to buy some, I will buy everything regardless.

3CE has consistently made make up of high quality akin to the higher end spectrum of western brands. I know for sure my Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier eyeshadow sticks have some tough competition for my love against the 3CE eyeshadow stick.

So if you’re in the realm of purchasing a eyeshadow stick for everyday usage, go forth and try the 3CE Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick!

10/10. Obviously.

BNTgirl x UGARDEN PERFECT OIL MASK – Camellia

Wow, time really flies doesn’t it?

I’m feeling really busy nowadays, what feels like 30 minutes is actually two hours. Yesterday I studied for what I thought was a few hours but turned out to be 5 hours! But sometimes I like to take a breath and relax, watch the world go by. Or Netflix and chill by yourself. But really, it should be Netflix and chill AND mask.

I love multi-tasking, and when it’s a mask that takes 20 minutes, I can squeeze a episode on Netflix in quickly too. Face feels refreshed and my mind gets a little break.

Today I’ll be reviewing UGARDEN Perfect Oil Mask (in Camellia). It’s a two in one (awesome) mask that comes with oil and a mask! Time to start buffering that Netflix and mask it on.

The first step, like always, is to clean your face (or make sure it’s clean).

Ta da, clean face.

Afterwards you rip off the off the top part of the mask package, the oil, and rub your face with the oil.

You know I’ve always wondered what camellia would smell like, question answered. The smell smacked my nose silly when I inhaled too strongly to begin with, and I would not suggest to others to sniff your oil too strongly. But smelling it delicately afterwards, I appreciated the smell a lot more. It was still strong but pleasant.

After that I rested for 20 minutes of looking like this. And watching some Netflix, I’m currently watching a “Death in Paradise.” Solid murder mystery series, my favorite genre.

I was done. Ta da.

Check out that all too dewy glow. I was radiant, practically glowing even. The only downside of this mask was that you kept that dewy glow, literally forever- till the end of time. I just washed my face after three hours because I didn’t want to keep glowing and I wanted to sleep.

Overall a fine mask to add to my ever growing mask collection. The cool part was that it had a section for the neck, gotta prevent those neck wrinkles.

I’d rate it a 9/10, bit too dewy for me but still a nice mask, kept me well hydrated.

FORENCOS’ GREEK Mythology MASK SERIES Part 1

For anyone wondering I’m currently in Poland, more specifically Sopot.

It’s part of a tri-city network of 3 close cities together. It’s near the beach, there’s water on the beach, bugs love water…and my face.

Although I did my best to prevent skincare sadness from the plane, there was really nothing I could do to prevent bugs (mostly stupid mosquitoes) from attacking my face. Blegh.

So basically I was in (and still am a little bit) skin care hell. There’s really nothing I could do than rub on some ointment to help stop the itchyness. But the redness seemed to be a constant.

Till I tried these masks!

Today I’ll be reviewing 2 of the 7 masks in the FORENCOS GREEK Mythology MASK SERIES, and I’ll be writing a more further in dept review of my favorites shortly.

Looking so fancy blue nail, you go girl.

Okay real talk, there are basically 7 different masks one for each day of the week.

For the first mask I decided to use the tea tree oil one, because my face was dying and I needed a miracle.

Tea tree oil is suppose to help with acne and I suppose redness all together. So I figured this one would be best for my ailment.

Thursday: relax with Dryas (Tea tree oil mask)

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-45

Check out my sad face. Especially my forehead. Take notice of those HUGE bumps from mosquitoes. : (

Anyways, so I figured why not try it.

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-47

It fit like a glove. TO MY FACE. The mask itself was one of the nicer paper silk material used and it had a pattern that made it seem more breathable.

I put it on for a hour, but you may ask, oh what about the ampoule sachet on the side there? I, uh, didn’t want to use it this time because I was lazy.

But moving along, after an hour…I emerged.

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-52

The redness was slapped down by the mask!

The mask was super effective, red bumps took a critical hit!

Yeah basically it’s amazing. Don’t need to read any further really. Or you can, to read on about the volcanic ash mask.

Tuesday: detox with Hephaestus (Volcanic Ash Mask)

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-09

As you can see in the photo the redness is still there, but not as crazy as the day before.

So I decided since the Tea tree oil one was so effective the day before, I’d try another mask from the series to help continue the prevention.

But this time I did use the amouple, it as a mask base so I put it on before the mask itself. It’s really gooey, super gooey, much like a syrup. But it goes onto your face.

But the mask itself was, uh, shocking.

I’ve never experienced a brown mask, but I guess that was expected for a “ash” mask.

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-13

The mask didn’t fit on my face as well after using the ampoule, so maybe you were suppose to wash it off before putting on the mask, I’ll try again soon.

After a hour, I removed the mask, and had to wash my face because the ampoule had dried up quite a bit. So, yeah I believe you should wash off the ampoule before the mask. #sherlock

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-16

The swelling and the redness went down again! But it doesn’t seem to be as effective as the tea tree oil so far.

I’ll be writing more later.

Bises.
