BNTnews x VELY VELY Magic Wand Lip&Eye Hybrid Concealer

EYEBAGS! Yeah, that caught your eyes there didn’t I.

I’m a long time sufferer of eyebags, they attack my face relentlessly because of the lack of sleep in my daily life. I should’ve studied art history in University. I CAN STILL CHANGE MY MAJOR. Jk I can’t.

So needlessly to say I was ready to try the newest product that bntNews sent me. Today I’ll be reviewing VELY VELY Magic Wand Lip&Eye Hybrid Concealer.

It’s a dual sided/function concealer, it has a liquid side which is suppose to be for the under eye areas and the cream side which is suppose to conceal the lip lines, for a gradient lip look.

The liquid side is a bit lighter than the cream side because it’s meant to “brighten” the eye look.

As you can see the cream side blends right into my skin, it’s like a perfect shade match which is awesome because there’s only one shade available on the site (LOL).

I’m a NC15-NC20.

Here it is blended. Blends right into my skin so that’s pretty solid. 10/10 for shade matching( for me specifically! Good luck everyone else!).

So first I’ll be reviewing the liquid side first.

The applicator is a cute doe foot which allows you to dab as little as you want, because in this case a little definitely goes a long way.

(no concealer)

(concealer application)

And then I just blend it away gently using my ring finger to tap it into my skin.

The liquid concealer pretty much stays the entire day after setting it with some powder. So that’s pretty nice, I would say it’s a medium coverage, because it conceals quite a bit of my bags but they’re sort of still visible.

Now for the cream side, I use it how it was intended here and just to blur out my lip line, so that I can build my own lips or create a nice gradient effect. Again I use my ring finger to stay consistent.

It’s in the shape of a lipstick bullet, SUPER CUTE.

and in my finished look I put on the VELY VELY butter crayon in shade Dragonfruit which you’ll see in my next review.

I think it does a pretty solid job for what it’s intended for.

It conceals my eye bags and my lip line well and in the end I look pretty decent.

So I’m giving this a solid 9.5/10, it’s not my HG concealer, but you know I’ll still grab for it daily anyways.

You can find it here or here.

BNTgirl x Amaranth Vibrant Shimmering CC Cream

Sometimes you wish you could love a product, but sometimes it wasn’t meant to be.

This was one of those cases. I really wanted to love Amaranth Vibrant Shimmering CC Cream but alas it wasn’t meant to be.

I really enjoyed it’s hydrating cream which I reviewed last year, so I had hopes that this cc cream would fill the gap in my make up collection, cc creams. But it wasn’t meant to be.

First thing you’ll notice is in my first picture is the dirty box that I have pictured. Why is it dirty? Because the cc cream is the biggest pain in the butt, it literally smudges and dirties anything I touch after immediate usage of it. The cream that can’t stop and won’t stop. Really annoying.

The packaging is still consistent to it’s previous product that I reviewed. A nice pump that makes it easy to use. Like I said, I really wanted to love this, because the packaging is so awesome and easy to use.

But alas we come to the second big no-no that I can’t do; it’s too pale.

Have you ever wanted to be literally be as pale as a ghost? Now you can!

I never did though, especially with my summer tan still in progress, I looked ridiculous with it on. Now I know some ladies are naturally more paler than others, and I’m usually on the more paler side of the spectrum (in the winter) but as it is now I cannot wear it.

So all in all, it was too “I’LL GET ON EVERYTHING YOU LOVE AND OWN!” and wayyy too pale of a product for me to enjoy.

Sorry Amaranth, didn’t love this.

1/10 cause it was easy to rub myself pale. Maybe if I decide to be the Grudge this Halloween it’ll be a fantastic product.

Coreana RODIN SHO’s EGFactor Timeless Program Part 1

Brief review time.

For this review, it’ll be a bit shorter than my usual reviews. Only because I’ll have a update later (in a month.)

Today I’ll be partially reviewing Coreana’s RODIN SHO’s EGFactor Timeless Program.

I’ll be writing about the 28 day program, there’s another shorter one, I believe for 7 days, if you want to try it.

It comes as a anti wrinkle program, for the eyes and face overall.

First off let’s talk, real talk, you can already see it’s luxurious. BAM syringes, and capsules.

It’s like playing science, but with your face.

The syringes are actually eye creams for the under eye bags, the most sensitive part of your face, SENSITIVE TO TIME!

As a anti wrinkle product, it’s in one of the most sanitary containers I’ve seen so far.

As a syringe it makes sure you put on not too much product onto your face and it distributes the same amount every time.

The syringe is plastic, it feels nice against the hand though, and looks nice.

The ampoules are for the face.

They sort of finish up the treatment, by giving your face a overall hydrated feeling all day long, 24 hours.

The texture is nice and light so far and it feels almost like argan oil onto your face.

More thoughts about this product later.

Bises,

Doris

BNTgirl x It’s SKIN PRESTIGE BN CREAM EX

Welcome back to my bloggg.

Today I’ll be reviewing It’s SKIN PRESTIGE BN CREAM EX! It’s a face cream that contains Swift nest and pure gold extracts (super fancy ingredients yo).

SAMSUNG CSC

For those who don’t know, Swift Nest is a ingredient (a very expensive one, a nest can go for $2500USD, baller lifestyle) that is used to make a very very very expensive soup. The soup itself is suppose to help with a lot of properties to help with health in general.

I didn’t really know what the gold did besides make a cream more fancier previously, so I did some googling and found that it’s suppose to help rejuvenate the skin and that gold face masks are really popular in Japan. That healthy glow.

So already this just sounds like a expensive product, and if the packaging says anything it definitely feels expensive.

SAMSUNG CSC

The container itself is really cool. Check out my pics, I can’t really describe it but the lid goes within the container and creates a really cool effect when opening it.

For the product, I found it smelled really similar to Pond’s face cream, a light perfumed scent. It absorbs really fast into the skin. I love the fact that it’s light and absorbent. Nothing’s better than a face cream that doesn’t sit in the face, it goes right into the skin, so you know the skin’s absorbing something.

I really like it as a face cream, my major winter problem has been dry skin, and it has taken care of that. Ohhh hydrated skin = happy skin. Look at my naked skin, wow much radiance wow, but I think that’s mostly in large part due to a different skincare product you’ll see in my blog soon!

I’ve been liking it however it hasn’t been “wow”ing me especially at the price point so I’m giving it a 7/10.

You can buy it here for $55.

BNTgirl x iSOi Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream

Word to the oil based creams.

Ce soir (tonight) I’ll be reviewing iSOi’s Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream. Previously, on last night’s episode of doirs….I reviewed from the same brand and loved it’s serum and toner. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

On the packaging it states that’s a day and night cream, however since it’s a oil based cream I think it’ll be more preferred at night. (We don’t need anyone’s foundation/face to melt off in the middle of the day, haha, wicked witch of the west!).

Now, I’ve used the phrase “oil-based” twice already, but what does that really mean anyways? It means that the cream is meant for dry to combination/normal skin types. So if you’re already oily I’d suggest you stay aware from this cream.

Everyone else listen up! Perk up your ears, I’m about to whisper some hydration secrets. Come closer, a bit closer…a little-woah, too close! ͡ಠ_ಠ

Everyone knows it’s now winter in most of the world (minus those happy Australians) and what makes us shiver even more than the brisk wind is the thought of chapped, broken skin which ails us all during the winter. May it be from the heater constantly running, or the blistering wind hitting our faces at 30mph, we all suffer from dry skin in the winter. However, having dry skin isn’t even the scariest part, what comes from dry skin is force much fearsome, wrinkles. Yes, dry skin is another cause of wrinkles (nononononono!). ⊙﹏⊙

So I’m glad to bring you back to your happy place and say all your worries about chapped skin and wrinkles can be helped with this one product before you sleep. Yay!  ( °٢° )

So I applied it every night for about two weeks after toner/serums and I found that;

1. A little goes a long way (a really heavy heavy cream that spreads like no other).

Sequence 04.Still004

2. Earthy fruity smell

3. It does not break me out! (I have combination skin, yay) (◕‿◕✿)

Now here’s some more information on the product itself, it’s suppose to help lift your skin, brighten it and whiten it as well. And I did in fact notice I did look more radiant after using the cream! Probably because of the oils in the cream hydrating my face and making my skin happy.

Better yet the cream contains 25 natural ingredients (scroll down for the list), and it contains no; Parabens, Synthetic colors & fragrance, PEGs, Mineral Oils, Propylene Glycol, Cilicones, EDTA, and Cinnamate. (Basically, they know what they’re doing for your skin.)

The cream was meant for winter skin, and it was meant to make your face feel happy. It truly is a luxurious product.

I’m rating this a 10/10 on the doirs scale of happiness. It what a cream is suppose to do and more. I love it.

It’s so beautiful…The cream that is, but such perfection has a hefty price.

(●´⌓`●)

On it’s site the MSRP is $90USD however on amazon it’s $99 here. So if you can believe, splurge a little, if you can’t you can always check out my other face cream reviews.

Bntgirl x Amaranth Ultra Hydrating Cream

Snowwwwwww day!

Sorry for the week long break between two reviews, but I finally had time to edit the video footage I had since it has been crazy snowing in my area. School has been excused, and now I’m back to my blog in my spare time.

Today I’m be review Amaranth’s Ultra Hydrating Cream, it’s described on it’s packaging sort of like what a face primer would do. It says it’ll help instantly retouch, smooth and revitalize your beauty performance (of the face). Sounds a lot like a primer, no?

However I’m Sherlock Doris and I have free time and I decided to find out what it really is.

I found it’s a Cosmetic company owned by Samsung, gasp! No, haha I meant what it does to your face, but in all seriousness it is owned by Samsung.

I’ve tested it two ways, before foundation (or bb cream) or together, mixed.

In between I wanted to show how I looked with just regular BB Cream on. I’ll be using Lancome’s BB cream and also Photogenic Luminesse.

To be honest it doesn’t feel like any of the primers I’ve ever used but it feels oddly similar to my starfish creams, the consistency is about the same and it feels like it instantly hydrates my face after application. In fact it’s eerily similar to the Sorabee Starfish cream I previously reviewed here.

DUN DUN DUN Sherlock Doris discovered they are managed under the same company! It’s a whole new roller coaster!

It gives off the similar floral-ish scent but I much more prefer the Ultra Hydrating Cream!

Anyways into the more important information. I’ll now show you the differences between the different ways of putting it on.

First, using it as a primer, I’ll put it on before foundation. You’ll see it mattefies my face and almost makes me a bit whiter, sort of like Missha’s MM Bloomer.

SAMSUNG CSC

STAY ALL DAY MATTEFYING!

Next is just foundation so you can see how it is regularly.

SAMSUNG CSC

Now to quickly compare the both side by side.

amareth.Still002

As you can see I look much more dewy with just foundation, what you can’t see is that I felt much less hydrated with foundation, I had a few flaky spots on my forehead.

So what I really want was a compromise, I wanted dewy skin that was moisturized and that helped my complexion.

Tada, I read that you didn’t just need to just use it as a base but as combination. You just mixed a equal parts of each with a brush before application. This gave me my favorite complexion! Dewy and happy skin!

SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC

Fantastic, radiant glowing skin.

Now to compare all three.

amareth.Still001

Yep, so that’s how I like it! Mixed together in application! It creates a nice hue for winter perfect skin! BYE BYE SKIN FLAKES!

Sherlock Doris out!

Unfortunately it’s not currently available online, must be a new product (much excite!) But when it’s available I’ll link it below.

I’m giving this a 8.5/10, it’s a fantastic face primer moisturizer and together it does some voodoo magic on my face!

Review: DERMAL Pearl Beauty Cream

Oh man, another cream. I’m wasn’t really excited about this cream at first because I hardly use them now in the summer/fall since my face tends to become more oily in hot weather, so I don’t need a cream to moisturize.

But this one caught my eye a bit when I saw the box inside my BNTnews beautybox.

SAMSUNG CSCA pearl cream. It sounded and looked luxurious, so that hyped me up a bit about a pearl cream.

On the box it describes the special cream to help promote cell turnover, cell regeneration and repair.

Pearl powder has anti-aging properties, cell regeneration, firmness and elasticity. To read more about the pearl’s properties, see here at the Dermal Institute’s website.

One of it’s more exciting properties, that I was looking forward to is its ability to repair sun damaged skin/freckles. Recently in the past years I’ve been getting a lot of small moles on my face because of the sun. However, I got them removed in LA so no more small moles on my face.

Time to try it.

After application I felt a nice soothing sensation. A slight tingling perhaps.

A nice surprise, I read the other DERMAL cream reviews (by the other BNTgirls) that featured the snake venom/bee venom also had a tingling sensation but I didn’t expect my pearl cream to have it as well.

It smells like a regular cream, no special scent, just like a normal cream. I appreciated that.

I’m giving this cream a 7.5/10 on the Doris scale. Because it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything special besides the fun tingling sensation.

You can buy it at GMARKET for $6.50 (YES you read that right for $6.50USD)

This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it ❤

Review: Belif Peat Miracle Revital Cream

Bonjour toute le monde (Hello everyone!), I’m here today to review part of the set I got from Belif as a part of my BNTgirl box.

The set comes with a serum and a cream, I’ll be reviewing the cream first!

SAMSUNG CSCThe cream features two natural ingredients; Peat (for which is named after) and Rhodiola Root. Both of which help cell turnover or what I presume to be as to help my new skin cells appear on the surface of your skin. For a more youthful appearance. Wow very fresh skin!

Belif is also proud to be a more natural company as they don’t use a bunch of synthetic compounds.

Such as;

  • No mineral oil
  • no synthetic fragrances
  • no synthetic colors
  • no synthetic preservatives
  • no animal-derived ingredients

First thing you notice is the pretty green pot that holds the cream, second thing is the smell, it smells very earthy-herbal-y. It smells very earthly. Which isn’t a bad thing, it smells very natural unlike all the other floral-y/vanilla scented creams I have.

SAMSUNG CSC

Texture wise it’s a more solid cream. Meaning that if I try to push my finger down I’ll have resistance against it. Which is cool.

Since most Korean skin creams are all about the more liquidy types of creams Belif’s more solid creams are a nice change.

belifcream

The cream itself fairs very well against my skin. It spreads evenly and with a cool touch. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling too greasy nor too heavy, making it a great face cream in my book.

After using it I didn’t notice much a difference beside the hydration of my skin being kept up. But that’s probably because I might be younger than the demographic of the cream’s unique skin renewal.

You can find this cream here for $64.49, which makes it a more expensive cream.

I’m giving this product a 7/10 on the Doris scale, it’s a good product but I don’t know if I can justify a $65 face cream for a 20 y/o.

This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it ❤

Review – Helen Park Jalousian Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Happy July 4th everyone! MURICA MURICA MURICA! How are you guys spending your Friday? I’ll be in Philadelphia city of freedom/ brotherhood.   helenpark1 Today I’ll be reviewing Helen Park Jalousian Anti wrinkle cream! It comes in a cute circle container and it’s lightly fragranced inside. It has the consistency of a lighter cream so it’s more easily absorbed into the skin. Apparently it’s quite a popular Korean for older women, hence the anti wrinkle cream. But I lack wrinkles at this young age of 20 so I can’t really tell you about its effectiveness on wrinkly skin. But perhaps it can be used to prevent wrinkles too. Who knows?! Even without the anti wrinkle, I find this cream to be a nice cream. It’s really nice and light so it’s perfect for the summer when I don’t feel like putting anything heavy onto my face! helenpark4 helenpark3 helenpark2   Overall I rate this product a 7/10. I wouldn’t necessarily buy it for myself but maybe give it to my mother, which I did after I trialed this product on my face. Review – BRTC AQUA RUSH CREAM

Bonjour, alo! I’m back!!! And today I’ll be reviewing my actual cream favorite from my BNT box of goodies; BRTC AQUA RUSH CREAM! (yayay) WP_20140627_008   Sorry for the relatively poor quality photo (I’m testing out the lumia 920 I got from windows, yay). The cream is suppose to be a part of a line of skin care products of it’s name/brand. BRTC’s more popular product from the series is it’s BB cream and understandably why (hint: it’s cream is amazing itself)! Screenshot 2014-06-28 23.01.02 So I was pretty excited when I first saw this, it’s a solid glass container and it feels like quality stuff, not any of that plastic bs. It has a light perfumed cream scent (akin to any face moisturizer, think olay or sauve) anddddd a incredibly soothing texture. It’s a moisture cream that works AMAZINGLY against my combination skin. I HAD some dry patches of skin and this just worked some voodoo magic on my skin because after 2 days my dry skin was no more! Unfortunately I still have to worry about my oily skin. But since it’s summer, my skin has been both oily (from the sweat and stuff) and dry because of the AC. I apply it every morning and night, in the morning I apply it before my BB cream/normal everyday make up. At night I apply it after washing my face and right before bed. MOISTURIZEEEEEE! P1160844 P1160848 I’ll give this product a 9.5/10. I’ll be using this religiously till it runs out and then I’ll have to start pondering about purchasing it! But it’s quite a expensive cream you can purchase it here for $35 CAD or here for $45 USD This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it ❤ Check out the other BNT Girls: JoanneKineCarinaBella. bntgirls badge
