Bntgirl x THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask

Hello!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I’m back with my favorite type of Asian beauty! Face masks!

Today I’ll be reviewing THELAVICOS Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask.

p1170269

I’m falling into fall currently. All the leaves are so beautiful but my face is combination, so it’s getting super dry right about now.

So I was able to test it while I went to the Grace Hopper Celebration in Houston, Texas. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Like a adult Disney for jobs and women in computer science.

Anyways the night before my conference I was on a plane for 5 hours, and experience a two hour layover, needless to say my skin was dry and very unhappy. I also had two interviews the next day?

So it was mask time! Mask time!

photo_2016-10-24_22-11-21

It was a mask that really stuck to the face so I was able to work on a project while masking, it says to do it for 20-30minutes but I did it for almost a hour (lost track of time) and when I peeled it off my face definitely felt rehydrated.

I was ready for my interviews at GHC16!

photo_2016-10-24_22-11-25

Overall it was a very good mask, and I thought it had multiple properties to make it a really great mask. It adhered to my face well and gave me the moisture I needed. I also looked great for the rest of the day, new LinkedIn photo yayuhhh!

Rating it a 9/10. I love this mask! Can’t wait to buy more.

BNTgirl x MAXCLINIC Miraclinic Ampoule Dressing/Contouring Object

Honestly, this has been one of the most fun thing to test and review in a while. So I’m going to go straight into it.

Today I’ll be reviewing MAXCLINIC’s Miraclinic Ampoule Dressing/Contouring Object.

Its a double layer face mask, the bottom being a regular face mask and the top, a hardening mask layer.

It comes in a seriously cool package, each set containing 4 masks.

So the cool part about this mask is that it solidifies on your face, sort of like paper mache (all you kids from Canada will know). Or like those instant casts, you can just feel it go from dry paper -> wet paper -> dry paper again.

And it comes out in the shape of your face!

Of course there are benefits to this mask, like every mask. This one advertises a super lifting property, basically firming your skin right up and more!

Sorry about the wall of images about to come. But the images basically sum up my experience. It was fun, it took 35 minutes, and in the end I definitely felt like my jaw line was slimmer and my face felt tight.

First of course, I put on the mask on some clean skin.

The mask was a bit big so I had to fold the nose part up in order to breathe, which was a slight bummer, but nothing really, since I only had to fold the nose part up.

Next was the dry layer.

So the instructions said to press the dry second layer onto the wet layer in order to get the dry layer wet. Once I had thoroughly made sure the mask was set,I then waited 30 minutes and definitely felt the mask harden.

After 30 minutes it was time to take the mask off!

It definitely felt cool to take off a solid mask of your face.

And I think my face definitely looks slimmer and less red.

I definitely feel that I had a positive experience with this mask, although I know some of my other BNTgirl-mates haven’t had the same experience. But the weather, and humidity could definitely affect the ability of the second layer to reharden!

Overall I found this to be a fun, and good mask!

I rating this a 9/10. It showed positive results and it was fun! Just bummed that the set only has 4!

But you can get it here for $12.

BNTgirls x NATURE REPUBLIC Ginseng Royal Silk Gold Hydrogel Mask

MASK DREAMS SUCCESS!

Lately I’ve been heavily breaking out on my face, I should say that the break outs for me are relatively mild usually, maybe one or two pimples. But recently I’ve been getting clusters of them. CLUSTERS!

So I’ve pulled out all my masks and I’ve been doing treatments ON THE DAILY. Okay, maybe not daily, I don’t have time for that. Perhaps, every other day?

So needlessly to say, my face was ready to embrace NATURE REPUBLIC’s Ginseng Royal Silk Gold Hydrogel Mask.

MASK1

The mask comes in a fancy packaging, much like the cream that I previously reviewed. It even has the same scent as the cream!

I would describe this mask as a everything mask, because it seems to be targeting…everything. It has all the right ingredients to make a power puff girl, sugar, spice and everything nice.

Or:

Pure (99%) gold

Six-year-old red ginseng

Royal jelly collected from Jiri Mountain

Amino acid extracted from golden silkworms

Yeah know, the ingredients to make a girl lovely again.

Before:

beforemask

I’ve got redness all over my face, and I’m trying to hide my chinples(chin pimples) with the mask, haha the shame. My skin is just sadness.

So the directions say to leave it on for 20-40minutes, I always do the max, for maximum effectiveness, 40 minutes! So basically 40 minutes of selfies.

It’s hard to take a cute selfie looking ugly, but regardless of the gold bling bling mask, the outcome was fantastic.

aftermask

40 minutes later, and I’m looking definitely more than 40% happier, my chinples have seemingly faded a lot and the overall redness in my face decreased significantly.

I can only recommend this since it worked out so well for me.

However it comes with a pretty heft price tag.

You can buy 6 masks for $47 here.on amazon.

But if you can do some waiting it’s only around $4-7 on korean sites.

BNTgirl x Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Watery Cream

In my last blog I spoke about white winters, and what happens when I come home from Los Angeles? White out. Yeahhhhhh ski weather!

But obviously they’re some downsides to the cold weather, one of which is the dry dry, super dry skin that occurs. I have to blast the heat at home, or I might die. So instead of me dying, my body takes a casualty, my skin.

Today I’ll be reviewing a product that has been an immense help for my winter skin; NATURE REPUBLIC Ginseng Royal Watery Cream. Super fancy stuff.

Now, you might ask why I say super fancy, and I say it is because BA-BAM GOLD FLAKES! GINSENG! ROYAL JELLY! GOLD SILKWORM! Tell me that doesn’t look fancy.

Every time I put it on my face I feel like a K-Pop star, and that’s not only because of the super fancy ingredients, lots of K-Pop stars feature it in their routines, and I even saw Taeyeon from SNSD post about it on her instagram. Goals!

I’m feeling fancy.

As for the cream itself it does succeed in the “watery” part of it’s name. The cream absorbs quickly and sets as a light cream that can be used in both your day or night routine.

I love that it doesn’t have the “greasy” feel that some creams give off and doesn’t really have a minimum time to allow it to set. I just put on the rest of my make up after using it and my make up doesn’t melt off. Very nice stuff.

Overall I think it keeps my face hydrated and feeling fancy everyday. Who wouldn’t feel fancy rubbing gold flakes all over their face.

But as you guys know, I LOVE PACKAGING THE MOST! A good packaged item got me like bae. And Nature Republic has done wonderfully, to make it not only look high end but feel it too.

It’s a solid container, that has a nice screw on top, and a nice body to hold the cream as well. Plus it’s super sanitary with a little scooper that comes with it.

The fun part about this product was this is the first product I was actually able to see in the physical store. There was a Nature Republic in downtown LA, in Santee Alley.

I give it a 9/10. It was a a great cream, and I feel fancy while using it. But of course if you want to feel fancy you gotta pay that fancy price.

It retails like a high end cream, 66,000 Won in Korea.

But I found a amazon link for $36 here.

BNTgirl x Pure Heals Ginseng Berry Eye Lift Patch

Oh god I needed these.

Midterms just ended for me and I’m a serious victim of eye bags, not the cute aegyo eye bags, the omg what happened to sleep ones. Also, not to be confused with designer eyebags you obtain from jetsetting to foreign countries for brief amounts of time.

Today I’ll be reviewing Pure Heals Ginseng Berry Eye Lift Patch!

Eye patches are a great mini mask for the eye bags specifically because they still allow you to continue with whatever you’re doing ( in my case, studying like a mad man). So I really appreciate them because they just feel nice in general.

What’s specifically excellent about the Pure Heals one is that not only is it cooling during initial contact but for the entire extended wear of the eye patch entirely. Plus I like the fact is a clear gel, it looks a little bit more normal.

Even better bonus about the eye patches is that they work( at least for me)! I just put them on for 20-30 minutes and continuing the ritualistic studying that is engineering.

Here are some before and after pictures:

Before:

During:

After:

The skin around my eyes definitely plumped back up and looked much healthier.

Does what it’s advertised to do, so that’s super cool.

Only bummer is that the MSRP is 53,000 Korean Won or around $53USD, so it’s quite a baller amount. But if price isn’t a issue or you need some major help ASAP, give it a try.

Still a solid though, so I’d give this a 8.5/10, minus 1.5 for the price. I’m a student, broke life.

BNTgirl x UGARDEN PERFECT OIL MASK – Camellia

Wow, time really flies doesn’t it?

I’m feeling really busy nowadays, what feels like 30 minutes is actually two hours. Yesterday I studied for what I thought was a few hours but turned out to be 5 hours! But sometimes I like to take a breath and relax, watch the world go by. Or Netflix and chill by yourself. But really, it should be Netflix and chill AND mask.

I love multi-tasking, and when it’s a mask that takes 20 minutes, I can squeeze a episode on Netflix in quickly too. Face feels refreshed and my mind gets a little break.

Today I’ll be reviewing UGARDEN Perfect Oil Mask (in Camellia). It’s a two in one (awesome) mask that comes with oil and a mask! Time to start buffering that Netflix and mask it on.

The first step, like always, is to clean your face (or make sure it’s clean).

Ta da, clean face.

Afterwards you rip off the off the top part of the mask package, the oil, and rub your face with the oil.

You know I’ve always wondered what camellia would smell like, question answered. The smell smacked my nose silly when I inhaled too strongly to begin with, and I would not suggest to others to sniff your oil too strongly. But smelling it delicately afterwards, I appreciated the smell a lot more. It was still strong but pleasant.

After that I rested for 20 minutes of looking like this. And watching some Netflix, I’m currently watching a “Death in Paradise.” Solid murder mystery series, my favorite genre.

I was done. Ta da.

Check out that all too dewy glow. I was radiant, practically glowing even. The only downside of this mask was that you kept that dewy glow, literally forever- till the end of time. I just washed my face after three hours because I didn’t want to keep glowing and I wanted to sleep.

Overall a fine mask to add to my ever growing mask collection. The cool part was that it had a section for the neck, gotta prevent those neck wrinkles.

I’d rate it a 9/10, bit too dewy for me but still a nice mask, kept me well hydrated.

FORENCOS’ GREEK Mythology MASK SERIES Part 1

For anyone wondering I’m currently in Poland, more specifically Sopot.

It’s part of a tri-city network of 3 close cities together. It’s near the beach, there’s water on the beach, bugs love water…and my face.

Although I did my best to prevent skincare sadness from the plane, there was really nothing I could do to prevent bugs (mostly stupid mosquitoes) from attacking my face. Blegh.

So basically I was in (and still am a little bit) skin care hell. There’s really nothing I could do than rub on some ointment to help stop the itchyness. But the redness seemed to be a constant.

Till I tried these masks!

Today I’ll be reviewing 2 of the 7 masks in the FORENCOS GREEK Mythology MASK SERIES, and I’ll be writing a more further in dept review of my favorites shortly.

Looking so fancy blue nail, you go girl.

Okay real talk, there are basically 7 different masks one for each day of the week.

For the first mask I decided to use the tea tree oil one, because my face was dying and I needed a miracle.

Tea tree oil is suppose to help with acne and I suppose redness all together. So I figured this one would be best for my ailment.

Thursday: relax with Dryas (Tea tree oil mask)

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-45

Check out my sad face. Especially my forehead. Take notice of those HUGE bumps from mosquitoes. : (

Anyways, so I figured why not try it.

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-47

It fit like a glove. TO MY FACE. The mask itself was one of the nicer paper silk material used and it had a pattern that made it seem more breathable.

I put it on for a hour, but you may ask, oh what about the ampoule sachet on the side there? I, uh, didn’t want to use it this time because I was lazy.

But moving along, after an hour…I emerged.

photo_2015-06-09_15-49-52

The redness was slapped down by the mask!

The mask was super effective, red bumps took a critical hit!

Yeah basically it’s amazing. Don’t need to read any further really. Or you can, to read on about the volcanic ash mask.

Tuesday: detox with Hephaestus (Volcanic Ash Mask)

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-09

As you can see in the photo the redness is still there, but not as crazy as the day before.

So I decided since the Tea tree oil one was so effective the day before, I’d try another mask from the series to help continue the prevention.

But this time I did use the amouple, it as a mask base so I put it on before the mask itself. It’s really gooey, super gooey, much like a syrup. But it goes onto your face.

But the mask itself was, uh, shocking.

I’ve never experienced a brown mask, but I guess that was expected for a “ash” mask.

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-13

The mask didn’t fit on my face as well after using the ampoule, so maybe you were suppose to wash it off before putting on the mask, I’ll try again soon.

After a hour, I removed the mask, and had to wash my face because the ampoule had dried up quite a bit. So, yeah I believe you should wash off the ampoule before the mask. #sherlock

photo_2015-06-09_17-32-16

The swelling and the redness went down again! But it doesn’t seem to be as effective as the tea tree oil so far.

I’ll be writing more later.

Bises.

BNTgirl x SNP’s Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch

Hello eyebags, I mean hello everyone.

It’s finals week, some of my friends are finished with school some of the are suffering the same fate as I. Woe is I with my eyebags.

Like all uni students, I suffer from the constant attack of lack of sleep making my eye bags terrible. But they only get worse as finals approach.

So I was really excited to see I got a eye mask in my box from BNTnews in my April box! Today I’ll be reviewing SNP’s Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch!

SAMSUNG CSC

Like the name suggests it contains swiftlet nest extracts and hyaluronic acid. Both of which help rehydrate and nourish the eye bags to reduce the puffyness, darkness, and the fine lines around the eyes.

The eye masks themselves are quite liquidy and are made with a gel like mask so it has a nice cooling effect when put on the eyes.

SAMSUNG CSC

Now eyebags should not be confused with agaeyo eyes, these are not cute and just make you look extremely sleep deprived and exhausted.

Sorry for the ugly eye bag photos coming up, I can’t help the fact I’m genetically prone to them.

The instructions are easy, put them on for 20-30 minutes, but apparently I put them on backwards a few times, awks.

Before:

SAMSUNG CSC

During:

SAMSUNG CSC

After:

SAMSUNG CSC

Unforunately for me, my eyebags may have been too much for them, as I didn’t really notice too much of a difference on myself. But the other BNTgirls seemed to have enjoyed them.

Each box contains 60 pieces, so maybe if I do it a lot more, 20 more times or so I’ll notice a difference. But for now I only noticed a bit of a immediate difference.

I rate this product a 6/10. I really wanted them to work but it seemed to have only mildly worked. But something is better than nothing!

If you want to try them out, you can buy it here for $14.03

Review – My Beauty Diary Egg White Gommage Peeling Mask

Three words, MY BEAUTY DIARY! I’m pretty excited because this is my first MBD product ever! I’ve heard their masks are amazing, so I’ll be reviewing their wash/scrub mask! It was even featured on “Get it Beauty” which basically features the best of Korean (it’s Taiwanese ) products. P1160830 Since this isn’t really a mask or a peel off facial item the whole process was a bit confusing at first (especially since all the Korean sites would be in Korean), so I’m going to write a clear step by step of how to use this. It’s more of a facial scrub which you would usually use 2-3 times a week, before this I used Suki’s exfoliate foaming cleanser which is really similar to this product except suki’s base is a sugar scrub. So treat it as such. Steps:

  1. Wet face.
  2. Put a small amount onto fingers.
  3. Massage into skin and watch it foam. (optional: leave it on for 20 minutes for extra hydration)
  4. Wash face and feel fresh.

As you massage it into your skin it softens up and it becomes a nice fluffy scrub. It’ll definitely scrub away your dead skin cells and leave your skin hydrated as promised.   P1160881 P1160886 P1160895 So as you can see, I definitely felt fresh after. Smoooooooooooooth and soft skin.

Even G.NA recommends it, for more information on that you can check BNT’s own post on it here.

It’s a nice scrub so I’m going to give it a 8/10.

You can purchase it here for $27 which is about the same price as I usually pay for my facial scrubs here in the US, so if you want to try a pretty good scrub that’s Korean I suggest you trust G.NA- wait and me too a bit. ❤

BNTgirls x Leaders “AQUA DRESSING” mask Review

Hello my beautiful readers!

*edit* OMG it’s my 100th post! ೕ(Ò⺫ Ó )೨

I’m starting a new section of my blog called Ice Cream Time reviews, all videos that show that will basically mean I got the reviewed items free from BNTnews international but like all my other blogs they will be 100% my POV (point of view).

bntgirls

Okay, so let’s start.

I’m going to review Leader’s AQUA DRESSING MASK.

It’s supposed to help with;

  • dry skin
  • deadskin cells
  • rough skin
  • sensitive skin

DSC_0112

So yeah that’s just what I looked like with the mask on. Huehuehuehuehue…

So I’m just going to go ahead and say it smells weird, like really weird, not a truly bad or good weird…just weird my nose just adjusted to it’s weird scent after a while so I didn’t notice the smell as much later on. But….It was truly weird. Other than that the mask was fantastic it gave me a nice glowly-dewy skin afterwards….TADA (pics below)

P1160444

And the day after I ate at a restaurant named “Corks Restaurant” at Niagara-On-The-Lake. Basically wine country and my face looked radiant all day and I only had bb cream on my face, no concealer or foundation! (✿◠‿◠)

P1160475

So overall I think the weird scented mask was well worth the 20-25 minutes it was on my face because it made my skin look soooooooooooo dewyyyyyyy I should’ve taken more selfies that day. But I can’t wait to review all the masks that were given to me! I’m sure it helped with my dry skin, but since I don’t have rough skin and I’ve been using My Beauty Diary Egg White Gommage Face Mask (review soon) I don’t have much dead skin cells. So overall I’d rate this a 8/10 only because of the weird scent. But I loved the gummy texture of the face mask itself and the fact that it made my skin look oh so wonderful.

Solid 8/10 for this mask for me.
