Review: Benton Honest TT Mist Review

Oh my gosh, this has been the first non-BntNews review in a while. And I’m looking forward to posting my travel vlogs/blogs soon while on spring break. 3 weeks to go.

Today I’ll be reviewing something I got from Roseroseshop and South Korean retailer of all sorts of Korean skincare and cosmetics. They have fairly decent prices, so if you want to check them out, here’s the link.

Today I’ll be reviewing Benton Honest TT Mist. I’m pretty excited because this is my first Benton product that I’ve ever used and it’s super fantastic-elastic.

I feel kind of bad because I actually received this product about 3 months ago to start testing and using and I’m only uploading a review now. But the good news is that I’ve heavily tested it for the past three months and I have only good things to say about it.

Benton truly seems to care about the skin with the products, and it was especially shown with their mist. It has a pH similar to skin, which makes the mist a gentle, neutral to skin spray. It leaves the skin feeling fresh all sorts of the day.

I brought it along with my winter travels to California, and it feel like it helped my skin adjust to the drier winters there. My skin was just super dry there (it ded) and I used the spray at least twice a day (morning and night) to just make sure my skin didn’t die for the rest of the day.

If I had a drier skin patch, double sprayed there, skin dry patch faded. If I had a surprise pimple area, double sprayed there, pimple faded.  If someone was mean to me, double sprayed there, person faded.

You get the idea, I sort of used it as a all purpose spray, and I loved it. I think I finally understand those Korean dramas where the girls just spritzed everywhere all the time. I turned into that. Universal Studios, check. Disneyland, check. Pre-dinner, check. Las Vegas, check. Basically everywhere I was spritzing.

photo_2016-02-23_19-38-04

I’m a bit sad now as I’ve finished about half the bottle now but I can at least tell you all that I love it.

Plus it’s cheap. You can get it from roseroseshop here for ~$7. That’s crazy cheap, especially for something that I used basically all the time. Time to repurchase. Can’t wait.

Even though I was given this as a product to review for roseroseshop, this of course contains my 100% honesty.

Thus 10/10. I’m definitely rebuying. SPRITZ!

Coreana RODIN SHO’s EGFactor Timeless Program Part 1

Brief review time.

For this review, it’ll be a bit shorter than my usual reviews. Only because I’ll have a update later (in a month.)

Today I’ll be partially reviewing Coreana’s RODIN SHO’s EGFactor Timeless Program.

I’ll be writing about the 28 day program, there’s another shorter one, I believe for 7 days, if you want to try it.

It comes as a anti wrinkle program, for the eyes and face overall.

First off let’s talk, real talk, you can already see it’s luxurious. BAM syringes, and capsules.

It’s like playing science, but with your face.

The syringes are actually eye creams for the under eye bags, the most sensitive part of your face, SENSITIVE TO TIME!

As a anti wrinkle product, it’s in one of the most sanitary containers I’ve seen so far.

As a syringe it makes sure you put on not too much product onto your face and it distributes the same amount every time.

The syringe is plastic, it feels nice against the hand though, and looks nice.

The ampoules are for the face.

They sort of finish up the treatment, by giving your face a overall hydrated feeling all day long, 24 hours.

The texture is nice and light so far and it feels almost like argan oil onto your face.

More thoughts about this product later.

Bises,

Doris

Too cool for school EGG MOUSSE PACK & SOAP SPECIAL DUO

Aerosol cans, so hot right now. Amiright?

Late spring/early summers make people lazy and since I’m a lazy person this was great for me. SPRAY EVERYTHING! Everything is easier in a sprayable form.

I’ll be reviewing another Too Cool For School item, this time a mask and soap cleanser duo!

Double the lazy for me, you get both a cleaner and healthier face FROM A CAN!

Like usual, Too Cool For School (obviously too cool for me) provides the cutest packaging.

Everything looks like they’re made to be gifts (to yourself, of course) and the cute yellow string just brings it all together.

Moving onto the important bits though, I use the cleanser (soap) and then use the mousse afterwards.

By the way I completely enjoyed using this product, I love love love super love whipped cream from a aerosol can, and this product just just a continuous reminder of it.

The soap can be used as a cleanser or even as a shaving cream apparently (I’ll try maybe later. Also check out how I pumped out wayyyyy too much into my palm.)

The foam from the cleanser is much thicker and heavier than the mousse (which sounds light anyways), akin to a heavy whipped cream. I’ll be comparing everything in this review to a cream. CREAMY!

As a cleanser I’d say it removed my light make up fairly well. I don’t think it can remove stronger make up such as, waterproof mascara or lipstick. But as a everyday thing it does everything and more in a can!

So let’s say you start off the day lazy, bb cream and eyebrows, you can then finish the day lazy with a can! It’s fantastic, the summer heat makes me extremely lazy.

I’m off from university in the summer, and I don’t see my classmates as often, prompting me to be less likely to put on a full face of make up. Ergo, lazier Doris make up!

You can see how much noticeably thicker and harder it is to spread across my face, since it’s a thicker cream. It was almost icing (yummy) thick. Oh my god, I’m getting hungry writing this.

After setting it for a little bit, I washed it off. Feeling refreshed, nothing than cleaning your make up at the end of the day.

Just kidding, a mask at the end of the day is even better.

For the Egg Mousse Pack I used it as a light mask and after spreading it evenly on my face I left it on for 10 minutes.

For the consistency, I’d say the name is quite on point, it’s like a light mousse, or a nice fluffy whipped cream. Nice and fluffy cream.

The mask is suppose to use it’s eggy properties for good, on your face. Brightening and nourishing your face in fluffy and easily accessible can form.

Unlike the soap it spread on the face quite nicely, easily, and evenly. No rough patched here.

During the 10 minute wait before I rinsed it off, the foam quickly turned into bubbles disappearing into the sea foam it was made from.

Looking moisturized.

As a duo product I’d say it was quite easy and fun to use. If you’re looking for a easy summer product to use, I’d say why not.

Packaging is cute and it does what it does. Not bad.

I’d give this a 8/10.

You can get it -> [too coo for school]EGG MOUSSE PACK&SOAP SPECIAL DUO korean beauty

For $22.

[3CE] 3 Concept Eyes WATER WRAPPING FACIAL MASK

Phew, long time no see guys.

Sorry, I’ve been traveling a bit, and for this post I want to feature the face mask that made my 3 day journey to Europe MUCH better!

Prepare for a face mask worth the hassle of bringing onto your carry on luggage.

Ladies and Gentlemen, sit back and relax. We’re cruising.

Stylenanda 3CE WATER WRAPPING FACIAL MASK.

Traveling is almost never a delight unless you have the money to fly First/Business Class. But you know we make do with what we have.

Who else hates long airplanes rides, and cannot sleep on planes? Me.

I had a two flights to get to Poland, the first flight was from JFK (New York) -> SVO (Moscow, Russia) which was 9 hours long.

Plane rides are infamous for their stale, drying air and that can wreck  havoc on your face up before a vacation. So I was prepared. I brought 6 different face masks to use on the planes.

It was devastatingly long, especially since I didn’t sleep much the night before (3 hours) and I couldn’t sleep at all on the plane. Damn you internal clock telling me it’s daylight.

But the mask was God sent.

Prepare for shameless mask wearing on planes.

photo_2015-06-08_13-50-03

I put the mask on and it was like bringing the Alps to my face. My skin tingled with a cooling sensation and felt like it was finally breathing for the first time in 6 hours.

I wish I was joking, it was amazing. It was as if clean, fresh mountain air was bought to me 9000FT in the air.

I’ve never experienced anything like it before, but maybe I haven’t tried enough face masks on airplanes, but I know for sure if you have a flight in the future, you should buy this mask. Right now. It was amazing.

But wait there’s more! The mask not only made my face feel extremely refreshed, it knocked me out cold.

The combination the feeling of my skin being able to breathe and the nice cool tingling sensation was just what I needed to rock me into slumber. One moment I was watching Agent Carter and the next I was out like a light.

I was out cold for 30 minutes. The nap re-energized, and I emerged from my slumber a changed woman, I was Snow White. I felt pretty, rejuvenated and just overall wonderful.

Of course it also rehydrated my face better than a splash of water. It was a snow melting into my face.

IMG_4584

I know I know, sometimes people write things that may sound too good to be true. But I sincerely promise you won’t regret this if you try this.

Bring the refreshing mountain air with you 9,000ft in the air.

First class is a state of mind anyways.

I’m giving this a 11/10. The perfect product to me honestly, I’m about to buy a tonne (a literal tonne) and hoard them forever and ever.

You can buy it here on Stylenanda’s website here.

BNTgirl x SNP’s Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch

Hello eyebags, I mean hello everyone.

It’s finals week, some of my friends are finished with school some of the are suffering the same fate as I. Woe is I with my eyebags.

Like all uni students, I suffer from the constant attack of lack of sleep making my eye bags terrible. But they only get worse as finals approach.

So I was really excited to see I got a eye mask in my box from BNTnews in my April box! Today I’ll be reviewing SNP’s Bird’s Nest Aqua Eye Patch!

SAMSUNG CSC

Like the name suggests it contains swiftlet nest extracts and hyaluronic acid. Both of which help rehydrate and nourish the eye bags to reduce the puffyness, darkness, and the fine lines around the eyes.

The eye masks themselves are quite liquidy and are made with a gel like mask so it has a nice cooling effect when put on the eyes.

SAMSUNG CSC

Now eyebags should not be confused with agaeyo eyes, these are not cute and just make you look extremely sleep deprived and exhausted.

Sorry for the ugly eye bag photos coming up, I can’t help the fact I’m genetically prone to them.

The instructions are easy, put them on for 20-30 minutes, but apparently I put them on backwards a few times, awks.

Before:

During:

After:

Unforunately for me, my eyebags may have been too much for them, as I didn’t really notice too much of a difference on myself. But the other BNTgirls seemed to have enjoyed them.

Each box contains 60 pieces, so maybe if I do it a lot more, 20 more times or so I’ll notice a difference. But for now I only noticed a bit of a immediate difference.

I rate this product a 6/10. I really wanted them to work but it seemed to have only mildly worked. But something is better than nothing!

If you want to try them out, you can buy it here for $14.03

BNTgirl x Neogen CODE 9 Lemon Green Caviar Essence and Tox Tightening Pack

For my last review for my March box, I’ll be telling you the secret to my flawless radiant skin for the month.

Wow fantastic baby.

I’ll be reviewing Neogen CODE 9 Lemon Green Caviar Essence and Tox Tightening Pack.

SAM_3303

Inside the white container had yellow gauze pads on one side and cotton pads on the other side.

SAM_3304

After inspecting the contents you surprisingly had to pour the liquid into the gauze/cotton pad combo and then in a even more stranger twist put in the refrigerator for 9 hours before even using it.

SAM_3311

I thought it was too complex at first but after trying it for a few weeks I’m a believer.

I usually use it after a shower and toner to make sure my face is completely clean. Then according to instructions, start with the cotton pad side first and then in a sweeping motion go from the inner face to the outer face. It’s really cool and refreshing especially after a shower, it just immediately cools the face and closes the pores.

After that you use the yellow gauze side and sweep again from the inner part of your face outwards.

The combination of the dual sided pad helps absorb and maintain that radiant glow afterwards.

I’ve been truly loving this product everyday, it helps clear my skin and make sure I can go out barefaced without being too worried about my complexion!

BNTgirl x It’s SKIN PRESTIGE BN CREAM EX

Welcome back to my bloggg.

Today I’ll be reviewing It’s SKIN PRESTIGE BN CREAM EX! It’s a face cream that contains Swift nest and pure gold extracts (super fancy ingredients yo).

SAMSUNG CSC

For those who don’t know, Swift Nest is a ingredient (a very expensive one, a nest can go for $2500USD, baller lifestyle) that is used to make a very very very expensive soup. The soup itself is suppose to help with a lot of properties to help with health in general.

I didn’t really know what the gold did besides make a cream more fancier previously, so I did some googling and found that it’s suppose to help rejuvenate the skin and that gold face masks are really popular in Japan. That healthy glow.

So already this just sounds like a expensive product, and if the packaging says anything it definitely feels expensive.

SAMSUNG CSC

The container itself is really cool. Check out my pics, I can’t really describe it but the lid goes within the container and creates a really cool effect when opening it.

For the product, I found it smelled really similar to Pond’s face cream, a light perfumed scent. It absorbs really fast into the skin. I love the fact that it’s light and absorbent. Nothing’s better than a face cream that doesn’t sit in the face, it goes right into the skin, so you know the skin’s absorbing something.

I really like it as a face cream, my major winter problem has been dry skin, and it has taken care of that. Ohhh hydrated skin = happy skin. Look at my naked skin, wow much radiance wow, but I think that’s mostly in large part due to a different skincare product you’ll see in my blog soon!

I’ve been liking it however it hasn’t been “wow”ing me especially at the price point so I’m giving it a 7/10.

You can buy it here for $55.

[BNTgirl Collab] 4MINUTE – Cold Rain (Gayoon) Make Up Tutorial

Good morning guys (10:25am here).

Today I’ll be doing a make up tutorial wooooo!

Inspired by 4MINUTE’s Cold Rain mv, the BNTgirls decided to each do a make up look based off of a group member in the MV. I got Ga-yoon, dark lips on point.

Check out the other BNTgirls’s links;

Joanne’s Hyuna, Kim’s Jihyun and Bella’s So Hyun.

bntgirlscollage

So let me take you guys on a winter wonderland, err, I mean show you how I did this (see picture below or video).

cover

Alright let’s do this.

Using the Wayne Goss method for dewy skin, powder then foundation, I used;

LANCOME – LA BASE PRO (primer)
LANCOME – DUAL FINISH MATTE PORCELAINE 1 (powder)
LANCOME – PHOTOGENIC LUMENESSENCE BUFF6W (foundation)

I applied the foundation using my beauty blender for a more even natural finish.

4minute cold rain.Still010

Next using the NARS contour kit in Paloma, I contoured my face, creating. a more chiseled face, contouring my cheek bones and around the face.

Continuing with the contouring, I used my YSL Touche Eclat (2) to highlight portions of my face, as shown below.

highlight

After that I did my brows using:

ANATASIA BEVERLY HILLS – DIP BROW MED BROWN
ETUDE HOUSE – COLOR MY BROWS 1

Next up is the most intense part of the tutorial, the eye make up. Bling bling~

For my eyeshadows I used Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette and theBalm’s Nude’tude Palette.

I first primed my eyes with Urban Decay’s Original potion primer all over my lids to make sure the shadows intensify and stay put all day.

Next I put NAKED 2 – FOXY all over my lid.

After that base it’s basically a gradation, or a build up of color that looks natural. I like to create a sort of smoked out outer corner V shape (like shown below in the big picture).

First off I’m going to use NAKED2 – TEASE in the crease of my eyelid and then with a pointed shadow brush I’m going to build the gradation (brown hues)

4minute cold rain1

4minute cold rain.Still020

And then I’m going to put a light shimmer on the middle of my lids NAKED2 HALF BAKED.

After that I’m going to go back in with a lighter more skin colored highlighting shade ( NAKED 2 – BOOTY CALL) in the inner corners of my eyes and on my lower lash area creating a aegyo affect (supah cute).

4minute cold rain.Still018

After that I’ll highlight my brow bone again with NAKED2 – FOXY and tightline my eyes using CLINIQUE – GEL EYELINER TRUE BLACK.

After that my camera died, awks. So I had to charge it, in the mean time I put on false eyelashes and mascara.

HEROINE MAKE – LONG & CURL MASCARA
EYLURE – NATURALITES EYELASHES 020

4minute cold rain.Still023

Using Benefit’s Boi-ing (01) I covered up my lips to help create a finer lip in the end game.

Starting up the lip game, in this look the lipstick or the lips are the statement piece. All focus should go on the lips so a little prep goes a long way.

I’ll be using LANCOME – COLOR DESIGN in PRETTY BURGUNDY for my lipstick shade.

By using the X mark technique for the top of the lips, you make a more defined top lip.

4minute cold rain

4minute cold rain.Still025

With the lips being the statement piece of the look it never hurts to go back in with a concealer (in my case YVES SAINT LAURENT – TOUCHE ECLAT 2) and make sure the lips are on point.

After that, we’re finished. Ta-da, my 4MINUTE Cold Rain Gayoon look is finished, let me filter it up and we have the finished look!

BNTgirl x LEADERS MEDIU Moisture Therapy Body Oil Cream

Head, shoulder, knees and toes. All these place have to be moisturized too!

I bet some of you forgot not just the skin on your face eventually ages as well. So keeping your entire body moisturized is just as important as your face!

Today I’ll be reviewing Leaders MEDIU Moisture Therapy Body Oil Cream, to help you with that.

Body + oil + cream = happy body. The perfect recipe for a healthy body.

SAMSUNG CSC

Now some of you may wonder what I wondered at first, why a body oil vs a body cream. What really is the difference?

Two words, absorption rate. I found that I actually preferred the body oil, from Leaders, rather than my shea butter body cream from BBW because it absorbed into my body so much better. I rubbed it into my body, and then poof, the oil was into my body. No residue, no unpleasant feelings afterwards just clean absorption.

SAMSUNG CSC

The oil was very much like a gel, and liquidized quickly as I rubbed into my body. The gel itself contains amino acid complex, herb complex and tiny tiny vitamin capsules which are cute mini gold spheres. The spheres just sort of pop as you rub the oil into your skin and combine with the gel/oil itself.

As you can see as soon as it absorbs into my dry spot (my elbow specifically) you can’t even see a glimpse that oil was rubbed on, the spot just looks magically healthier/moisturized. Poof. Skin hydrated.

Better yet, it smells like a clean citrus scent, not like lysol (home cleaner), but more like lemon zest on a lemon meringue.

Really the body oil is the perfect thing to apply after a shower and right before you put on clothes, or even with clothes on, because the oil absorbs into your skin immediately. You won’t have to worry about stains or smudges onto your clothing while applying it.

It’s a great product to have, especially in the dry winter where it seems like every single part of my body is dry. After using it for two weeks I feel like my body is healthier, and I think I’m even slightly in love with the body oil.

Really a perfect all round product for the body during any season, wearing any type of clothes. Hassle free, smells great, and is in a easy to use container.

What else could a girl like me really ask for.

I’m giving this a 9.8/10. Almost perfect, it’d be even more perfect if I could find a retailer online that sells it. If anyone knows how I can get this in the USA I’d be much obliged.

BNTgirl x iSOi Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream

Word to the oil based creams.

Ce soir (tonight) I’ll be reviewing iSOi’s Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream. Previously, on last night’s episode of doirs….I reviewed from the same brand and loved it’s serum and toner. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

On the packaging it states that’s a day and night cream, however since it’s a oil based cream I think it’ll be more preferred at night. (We don’t need anyone’s foundation/face to melt off in the middle of the day, haha, wicked witch of the west!).

Now, I’ve used the phrase “oil-based” twice already, but what does that really mean anyways? It means that the cream is meant for dry to combination/normal skin types. So if you’re already oily I’d suggest you stay aware from this cream.

Everyone else listen up! Perk up your ears, I’m about to whisper some hydration secrets. Come closer, a bit closer…a little-woah, too close! ͡ಠ_ಠ

Everyone knows it’s now winter in most of the world (minus those happy Australians) and what makes us shiver even more than the brisk wind is the thought of chapped, broken skin which ails us all during the winter. May it be from the heater constantly running, or the blistering wind hitting our faces at 30mph, we all suffer from dry skin in the winter. However, having dry skin isn’t even the scariest part, what comes from dry skin is force much fearsome, wrinkles. Yes, dry skin is another cause of wrinkles (nononononono!). ⊙﹏⊙

So I’m glad to bring you back to your happy place and say all your worries about chapped skin and wrinkles can be helped with this one product before you sleep. Yay!  ( °٢° )

So I applied it every night for about two weeks after toner/serums and I found that;

1. A little goes a long way (a really heavy heavy cream that spreads like no other).

Sequence 04.Still004

2. Earthy fruity smell

3. It does not break me out! (I have combination skin, yay) (◕‿◕✿)

Now here’s some more information on the product itself, it’s suppose to help lift your skin, brighten it and whiten it as well. And I did in fact notice I did look more radiant after using the cream! Probably because of the oils in the cream hydrating my face and making my skin happy.

Better yet the cream contains 25 natural ingredients (scroll down for the list), and it contains no; Parabens, Synthetic colors & fragrance, PEGs, Mineral Oils, Propylene Glycol, Cilicones, EDTA, and Cinnamate. (Basically, they know what they’re doing for your skin.)

The cream was meant for winter skin, and it was meant to make your face feel happy. It truly is a luxurious product.

I’m rating this a 10/10 on the doirs scale of happiness. It what a cream is suppose to do and more. I love it.

It’s so beautiful…The cream that is, but such perfection has a hefty price.

(●´⌓`●)

On it’s site the MSRP is $90USD however on amazon it’s $99 here. So if you can believe, splurge a little, if you can’t you can always check out my other face cream reviews.
