Review: Belif Peat Miracle Revital Serum Concentrate

Alo people, I’m here today to review the second part of the set I got from Belif for being a BNTgirl.

The first part of the set was the cream, which you can read about here.

Today I’ll be reviewing the serum that came with it, Belif’s Peat Miracle Revital Serum. It contains Peat as its main ingredient as well, making it the peat set. (hehe I just think peat is such a fun word. Peat. Peat. Repeat.)

The serum is suppose to help with cell turnover, dullness of the skin and is used as a preventative for wrinkles. Aka “revital”-izing your skin! What’s so amazing about peat itself you may ask? Well read below for some more information about Peat itself.

It comes in a super cute bottle, like the cream it comes in a green-glassy container. Super cute. So visually it’s really pretty/cute off the bat.

The serum is released with a super cute dropper, it’s recommended 2-3 drops is more than enough for your face but I’ve been using 3 everyday just for good measure to get all of my face.

Like the cream, it smells earthy/herbaly but still in a good way, the scent is a bit stronger in the serum than it is in the cream, probably because the serum is more concentrated. It still doesn’t smell bad, it just smells more earthy which I like more than vanillas/florals.

Overall I think this is an okay serum, I prefer to stick to my iSOi Bulgarian Rose Blemish Serum (reviewed here), because I tend to have small blemishes and I’m not truly worried about the dullness of my skin, yet.

But it’s quite pricey as serums are, you can buy it on amazon here for $53.

Review: MIGABEE Peppermint Pureberry Oil Soap

I love peppermint, it reminds me of good Canadian winters growing up. Hot chocolate? Put some peppermint in that. Mentos? Already is super pepperminty. Coca-Cola? Don’t put Mentos in that.

Peppermint is love, peppermint is life. And Christmas smells.

All that said, I was really excited to try Migabee’s Peppermint Pureberry Oil Soap. Because nothing is more refreshing and not made more awesome than peppermint.

The product is a really catch all product, as it’s advertised to be a make up remover, shampoo and body wash. I’m ready to smell like peppermint head to toe. Mama needs.

So all you had to do is add some water and it immediately foams/lathers up.

Touch face
Foam it up
Snip it up like crazy
Rub it onnnn

It works marvelously and it smells like peppermint!

I also tried it as body wash, and now my body will smell like peppermint for weeks to come. I love this 3-in-1 product. It does everything however I won’t be giving up my shampoo for Migabee’s catch all because my hair has been colored it needs special shampoo.

As a tester to see if it removes the toughest make up I put on;

  • Urban Decay’s Glide on Cheek Tint
  • Stila’s Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
  • The Face Shop’s My lips Eat Cherry lip tint.

And to my surprise it removed it all!

I find this product to be one of my favorites in the box, as it smells like peppermint and I can use it to do basically everything to do with washing.

It’s the perfect product for a 50% lazy girl like me to use sometimes on the hardest days, when I’m lazy.

Review: Belif Peat Miracle Revital Cream

Bonjour toute le monde (Hello everyone!), I’m here today to review part of the set I got from Belif as a part of my BNTgirl box.

The set comes with a serum and a cream, I’ll be reviewing the cream first!

SAMSUNG CSCThe cream features two natural ingredients; Peat (for which is named after) and Rhodiola Root. Both of which help cell turnover or what I presume to be as to help my new skin cells appear on the surface of your skin. For a more youthful appearance. Wow very fresh skin!

Belif is also proud to be a more natural company as they don’t use a bunch of synthetic compounds.

Such as;

  • No mineral oil
  • no synthetic fragrances
  • no synthetic colors
  • no synthetic preservatives
  • no animal-derived ingredients

First thing you notice is the pretty green pot that holds the cream, second thing is the smell, it smells very earthy-herbal-y. It smells very earthly. Which isn’t a bad thing, it smells very natural unlike all the other floral-y/vanilla scented creams I have.

Texture wise it’s a more solid cream. Meaning that if I try to push my finger down I’ll have resistance against it. Which is cool.

Since most Korean skin creams are all about the more liquidy types of creams Belif’s more solid creams are a nice change.

The cream itself fairs very well against my skin. It spreads evenly and with a cool touch. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling too greasy nor too heavy, making it a great face cream in my book.

After using it I didn’t notice much a difference beside the hydration of my skin being kept up. But that’s probably because I might be younger than the demographic of the cream’s unique skin renewal.

You can find this cream here for $64.49, which makes it a more expensive cream.

I’m giving this product a 7/10 on the Doris scale, it’s a good product but I don’t know if I can justify a $65 face cream for a 20 y/o.

YSL – baby doll KISS & BLUSH in Orange Fougueux (04)

Alo alo bonjour guys.Welcome back, I’ve been on a bit of a break, LIKE A THIRTEEN DAY BREAK SINCE MY LAST POST OMGGGG.

Yeah, I was a bit pooped out after just doing posts every other day so I decided to take a mini breather. Anywhoo I’m back now and soon, I’ll be doing another youtube tutorial, because I got a new camera to play with. GOTTA TEST THIS BABY OUT.

Anyways….

Today I’ll be excitedly reviewing YSL’s baby doll KISS&BLUSH lip/cheek stain. YAY ORANGE SUMMER COLORS and SUPER YAY TWO IN ONE MAKE UP ITEMS.

As you can see it’s a cute super cute orange shade perfect for summer.

It features a doe tipped brush making it easy to apply overall, as the tip is great for outlining/fine details and the fatter part of the brush it perfect for fast applying.

Unlike some cheek and lip products which are only good for one or the other, I can proudly say I love using this on my cheeks too! Although it took 2-3 tries my first time, I got used to applying the “right” amount giving myself a great cheek glow. I’ll do a quick and easy tutorial soon (on blushes in general)!

Oh baby, that moment when you apply just the right amount of blush and on the right area of the cheek. MY CHEEKS LOOK SUPER CONTOURED WITHOUT CONTOURING YEAAAAA!

MY EYELINER IS SO THIN YEAAAAA! Yeah, sorry guys I’m only this excited because you’re the only ones who will see this, I didn’t go out that day when my make up was almost perfect.

PROS:

  • beautiful color
  • easy to apply
  • smells good (peachy scent)

CONS:

  • does not last all day (bummers, but I keep it in my bag!)
  • really easy to apply too much to the cheeks (I suggest using natural lighting, DONT PUT THIS ON IN A DARK ROOM)
  • it’s $40 (but if it makes you feel better it’s a LIP and CHEEK product! *chants * 2-in-1!)

Overall I’d give this product a 9.5/10. I really wanted a orange lip/cheek color this summer and this satisfies me so much. SO MUCH. I’m going to buy a few more shades.

Review – Leaders Vita Bright Skin Renewal Mask

Hello again guys! I’m back and I’m reviewing the best for last. My favorite mask I got out of the bunch from BntNews as a BNTgirl. I got four masks by Leaders and this by far was my favorite. Simply because it smelled great and still delivered the same quality of mask that I wanted. vitabright1 leadersbright2 It promised to brighten the skin and even skin tone. Bonus: it smells like peaches and awesomeness. I’m basically a peach fanatic anything peach and I’ll basically love it. It gave me dewy skin that made my outing with my friends in Toronto picture perfect because my skin looked radiant all day.   leadersbright3 Tl;dr 10/10 I will be repurchasing this. I love this. Review – Helen Park Jalousian Anti-Wrinkle Cream

  Happy July 4th everyone! MURICA MURICA MURICA! How are you guys spending your Friday? I’ll be in Philadelphia city of freedom/ brotherhood.   helenpark1 Today I’ll be reviewing Helen Park Jalousian Anti wrinkle cream! It comes in a cute circle container and it’s lightly fragranced inside. It has the consistency of a lighter cream so it’s more easily absorbed into the skin. Apparently it’s quite a popular Korean for older women, hence the anti wrinkle cream. But I lack wrinkles at this young age of 20 so I can’t really tell you about its effectiveness on wrinkly skin. But perhaps it can be used to prevent wrinkles too. Who knows?! Even without the anti wrinkle, I find this cream to be a nice cream. It’s really nice and light so it’s perfect for the summer when I don’t feel like putting anything heavy onto my face! helenpark4 helenpark3 helenpark2   Overall I rate this product a 7/10. I wouldn’t necessarily buy it for myself but maybe give it to my mother, which I did after I trialed this product on my face. Review – myPu Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream

HAPPY THOUGHTS! ❤ Today I’ll be reviewing myPu Hyalu Water Volume Snail Gel Cream as the title indicated. mypusnail1 mypusnail2 *** warning I’ll be heavily biased in this review to hate it solely because it’s a snail gel cream.

So first thing that’d you notice is that it’s a snail cream which was all the rage in Korea a few months ago, and the trend has continued to even today. But I hate snails. I hate their weird eyes, I hate their weird snail secreted trails. But I occasionally enjoying nom-ing on them.

Overall though, I hate their living selves. I find them so gross. So so gross. But I digress.

It’s a multifunction cream with skin whitening + anti wrinkle properties. The whitening will help make your skin look brighter. It contains 70% snail secretion filtrate, and it’s made without alcohol so it’s definitely hydrating. On my skin it’s a thicker gel cream, as you’d expect with a gel made with snail secretions. It’s light purfumed, and it easily soaks into the skin.

Overall I find this to be a decent moisturizer but I think my overall hatred of snails has killed this product for me. So I’ll be giving this a 5.5/10. But at $10 on ebay, it’s not a bad moisturizer. So if you don’t have a fear of snails and instead an interest of snails. I’d recommend you try it out! My skin care routine plus some tips (◕w◕ア

Alrighty so I’m just going to do a mini post on my skin care routine/ my skin care tips because I’ve been recently doing a lot of skin care posts. I figured I might as well show my readers what I do usually on a every day basis (minus the mask, I do that once a week or before a special occasion SUCH AS A DATE IF I HAD ONE.)

  1. Eyes – Lancome Bi-Facial Eye Make up Remover (everyday when I wear mascara)
  2. Makeup – Biore daily deep pore cleansing wipes (extra bonus: FOR DEM PORES, everyday if I wear make up)
  3. Scrub – MBD Egg White Gommage peeling (2-3 time a week)
  4. Mask – Leaders Aquaringer Skin Clinic Mask (once a week)
  5. Serum – iSOi – Bulgarian Rose Blemish Serum (morning and night)
  6. Cream – BRTC Aqua Rush Cream (morning and night)
  7. Diet – EAT HEALTHY FOR BETTER SKIN (every moment of your life)
  8. SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP (try to get 8, I try for 10 hours in the summer #yolo)

I find that for the easiest removal of the toughest make up i.e eyeliner/mascara is easiest with a dual liquid type eye make up remover (meaning that when it’s undisturbed you’ll see two layers of liquids in the container) it removes eye make up gently and without any harshness. The reason why I don’t just use my make up wipe to do my entire face is because it never gets ALL of my eye make up off and the skin around the eyes are more sensitive.

For scrubs and masks, I wouldn’t say they’re absolutely vital to a skin care routine but you know they’re nice to have on the side. Sort of like fries, fries are always nice to have on the side. JK I NEED FRIES. Scrubs/masks are a added bonus, think “treat yo self” and I think it’s pretty much like a spa day in your own home.

Serums are also a treat yo self skin every day kind of thing. So also nice to have but not really a necessity unless you have a skin care problem which is treated by a serum.

Creams are vital. How vital you may ask, well they’re like how much I need ice cream in the summer. Constant cravings. Creams help me fight against my constant random dry patches and let me go through the day/night knowing my skin is kept moisturized!

Though to be real, I’d put an emphasis on the last two mostly, a healthy diet and sleep can do wonders on your skin. I know personally when I’m back in the student grind I lose my shiny egg white like skin because of a diet of apple crisps + fries and like 3-5 hours of sleep.  But you know if you don’t have good skin, you can always fake it with concealer or take extra care of your skin with eye creams, and creams in general. Heavy usage on conceal if necessary.

When I’m really lazy all I need is some concealer under the egg bags and then some brows and my go to “whatever” look is complete. tl;dr eyemake up remover + cream + sleep + food =  awesome skin everything to me seems like a extra bonus Thanks for reading, see you guys again soon! Review – BRTC AQUA RUSH CREAM

Bonjour, alo! I’m back!!! And today I’ll be reviewing my actual cream favorite from my BNT box of goodies; BRTC AQUA RUSH CREAM! (yayay) WP_20140627_008   Sorry for the relatively poor quality photo (I’m testing out the lumia 920 I got from windows, yay). The cream is suppose to be a part of a line of skin care products of it’s name/brand. BRTC’s more popular product from the series is it’s BB cream and understandably why (hint: it’s cream is amazing itself)! Screenshot 2014-06-28 23.01.02 So I was pretty excited when I first saw this, it’s a solid glass container and it feels like quality stuff, not any of that plastic bs. It has a light perfumed cream scent (akin to any face moisturizer, think olay or sauve) anddddd a incredibly soothing texture. It’s a moisture cream that works AMAZINGLY against my combination skin. I HAD some dry patches of skin and this just worked some voodoo magic on my skin because after 2 days my dry skin was no more! Unfortunately I still have to worry about my oily skin. But since it’s summer, my skin has been both oily (from the sweat and stuff) and dry because of the AC. I apply it every morning and night, in the morning I apply it before my BB cream/normal everyday make up. At night I apply it after washing my face and right before bed. MOISTURIZEEEEEE! P1160844 P1160848 I’ll give this product a 9.5/10. I’ll be using this religiously till it runs out and then I’ll have to start pondering about purchasing it! Review – My Beauty Diary Egg White Gommage Peeling Mask

Three words, MY BEAUTY DIARY! I’m pretty excited because this is my first MBD product ever! I’ve heard their masks are amazing, so I’ll be reviewing their wash/scrub mask! It was even featured on “Get it Beauty” which basically features the best of Korean (it’s Taiwanese ) products. P1160830 Since this isn’t really a mask or a peel off facial item the whole process was a bit confusing at first (especially since all the Korean sites would be in Korean), so I’m going to write a clear step by step of how to use this. It’s more of a facial scrub which you would usually use 2-3 times a week, before this I used Suki’s exfoliate foaming cleanser which is really similar to this product except suki’s base is a sugar scrub. So treat it as such. Steps:

  1. Wet face.
  2. Put a small amount onto fingers.
  3. Massage into skin and watch it foam. (optional: leave it on for 20 minutes for extra hydration)
  4. Wash face and feel fresh.

As you massage it into your skin it softens up and it becomes a nice fluffy scrub. It’ll definitely scrub away your dead skin cells and leave your skin hydrated as promised.   P1160881 P1160886 P1160895 So as you can see, I definitely felt fresh after. Smoooooooooooooth and soft skin.

It’s a nice scrub so I’m going to give it a 8/10.

You can purchase it here for $27 which is about the same price as I usually pay for my facial scrubs here in the US, so if you want to try a pretty good scrub that’s Korean I suggest you trust G.NA- wait and me too a bit. ❤
