BNTgirl x Faith in Face HAND BUTTER in Cherry Scoop

Butterlicious, definition make them girls go loco.

They want some soft hands so they put some on their (?) hands?!!

Butterlicious.

SAMSUNG CSC

Ello mates, I’m back again today with another skincare product from familiar brand, Faith in Face, I previous reviewed and absolutely fell in love with their cleanser/toner. You can read more about it here.

It seems like Faith in Face is definitely one of those brands that focus on cute packaging, aimed at young women, and teens. The cute pink packaging is some serious eye candy and can make any girl smile. The bright happy pink packaging is quite eye catching and I’ve been asked a few times already where I got it!

I usually keep a hand cream in my bag, whether it be my school bag or my handbag, I pride myself on my soft supple hands. Them boys, like my soft hands, they like to hold my hand. Plus I like soft skin in general. What’s great about this hand butter is that it’s pretty compact like my Tocca hand creams and Bath and Body works hand creams, so they slip in and out of different bags easily.

The Hand Butter itself is made with 20% shea butter which is widely known to hydrate skin and hair. Hydratelicious.

Like the packaging says the scent is “cherry scoop” but it’s not the cherry fruit scent you’d assume it’d be, it’s more like the cherry blossom scent (from the flowering tree). The scent is quite pleasant, it’s not overwhelming and it smells slightly sweet and fresh.

As a hand butter, the cream itself is really nice and hydrating. I’ve been using it for 2.5 weeks now and my hands are as supple if not better than they were previously using my Tocca handcream.

Unfortunately even with it’s super pretty packaging, the packaging itself has a few downsides. I might have gotten a faulty product, but for my sample at least, it was a bit hard to open as the ridges in the cap would cut into my skin so I had to open it with a piece of my sweater usually. It would also be quite hard to squeeze some onto my hand, so it’s either the cold weather freezing my hand butter, or they need a softer packaging.

Other than that though, it is a fantastic hand cream, and I’ll be continuously using it until I run out! Soft, supple hands, baby.

SAMSUNG CSC

I’m giving this a 8.5/10. I really love the hand cream, but it’s kind of hard to open and use.

I couldn’t find it online currently, but when/if I do I’ll post a link here!

BNTgirl x iSOi Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream

Word to the oil based creams.

Ce soir (tonight) I’ll be reviewing iSOi’s Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream. Previously, on last night’s episode of doirs….I reviewed from the same brand and loved it’s serum and toner. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

On the packaging it states that’s a day and night cream, however since it’s a oil based cream I think it’ll be more preferred at night. (We don’t need anyone’s foundation/face to melt off in the middle of the day, haha, wicked witch of the west!).

Now, I’ve used the phrase “oil-based” twice already, but what does that really mean anyways? It means that the cream is meant for dry to combination/normal skin types. So if you’re already oily I’d suggest you stay aware from this cream.

Everyone else listen up! Perk up your ears, I’m about to whisper some hydration secrets. Come closer, a bit closer…a little-woah, too close! ͡ಠ_ಠ

Everyone knows it’s now winter in most of the world (minus those happy Australians) and what makes us shiver even more than the brisk wind is the thought of chapped, broken skin which ails us all during the winter. May it be from the heater constantly running, or the blistering wind hitting our faces at 30mph, we all suffer from dry skin in the winter. However, having dry skin isn’t even the scariest part, what comes from dry skin is force much fearsome, wrinkles. Yes, dry skin is another cause of wrinkles (nononononono!). ⊙﹏⊙

So I’m glad to bring you back to your happy place and say all your worries about chapped skin and wrinkles can be helped with this one product before you sleep. Yay!  ( °٢° )

So I applied it every night for about two weeks after toner/serums and I found that;

1. A little goes a long way (a really heavy heavy cream that spreads like no other).

Sequence 04.Still004

2. Earthy fruity smell

3. It does not break me out! (I have combination skin, yay) (◕‿◕✿)

Now here’s some more information on the product itself, it’s suppose to help lift your skin, brighten it and whiten it as well. And I did in fact notice I did look more radiant after using the cream! Probably because of the oils in the cream hydrating my face and making my skin happy.

Better yet the cream contains 25 natural ingredients (scroll down for the list), and it contains no; Parabens, Synthetic colors & fragrance, PEGs, Mineral Oils, Propylene Glycol, Cilicones, EDTA, and Cinnamate. (Basically, they know what they’re doing for your skin.)

The cream was meant for winter skin, and it was meant to make your face feel happy. It truly is a luxurious product.

I’m rating this a 10/10 on the doirs scale of happiness. It what a cream is suppose to do and more. I love it.

It’s so beautiful…The cream that is, but such perfection has a hefty price.

(●´⌓`●)

On it’s site the MSRP is $90USD however on amazon it’s $99 here. So if you can believe, splurge a little, if you can’t you can always check out my other face cream reviews.

BNTgirl x REAL OH BUBBLE THE HAYAN GT-CLEANSER

Oh! Oh! Oh! Oppa sarang hae! Oh! Oh! Oh bubbles hey!

Today I’ll be reviewing  REAL OH BUBBLE THE HAYAN GT-CLEANSER (oh!)  and I’m just thinking of SNSD today!

SAMSUNG CSC

While we’re on the topic of SNSD we think of them as the flawless beauties they are, and like that Oh! Bubble Cleanser helps with just that!

It tightens the pores, whitens the skin and provides a deep cleanse. I’ve been loving this cleanser because it foams up!!!

Super fun, I love bubbles, bubbles, bubbles they remind of me of bubble baths and relaxation. Most importantly….fun.

SAMSUNG CSC

Basically once it hits the skin or the outside it’ll oxygenate and expand, making a soft foam-y bubbly layer. But that’s not all, the most fun part is that the foam itself is malleable! Meaning you can now have fun while removing your make up! Foam it up and ball it up, shape it up, and power up!

You can do anything with the foam, make yourself a mask of white, and feel like a power ranger. The world is at the palm of your hand. Or at least until you decide you need to remove your make up actually, haha.

But really what’s the most important part of a make up remover? How effective the remover is. On my hand I have Lancome’s Hypnose Drama Mascara, Lancome Color Design Lipstick in All done up and Stilla’s Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliner!

Step 1. Spread the liquid fun on the surface area.

Step 2. Watch it foam/bubble up!

Step 3. Oh! Mix it around.

Step 4. Enjoy your clean skin!

It effectively removes even waterproof make up.

But personally I actually only prefer the cleanser on a lighter make up day without waterproof mascara as I can let it sit on my face and foam up. After that I use a light hand and just massage my face.

As you can see above I went from a beautiful full face of make up, to a clean face.

Still the best part of the cleanser is that it bubbles, much fun.

I personally didn’t see much of the whitening effect but I did much enjoy the pore tightening. My pores have gotten smaller!

Since it was a decent cleanser and it was a lot of fun to use I’ll rate this a 8/10.

However the only downside it seems is that it’s a bit expensive. You can buy it here at Gmarket for $30USD.

Which is $2 more than my Lancome cleanser (that doesn’t foam), so if you’re interested in a foaming/pore tightening/whitening cleanser look no further than oh! oh! oh…gmarket!

Bntgirl x Amaranth Ultra Hydrating Cream

Snowwwwwww day!

Sorry for the week long break between two reviews, but I finally had time to edit the video footage I had since it has been crazy snowing in my area. School has been excused, and now I’m back to my blog in my spare time.

Today I’m be review Amaranth’s Ultra Hydrating Cream, it’s described on it’s packaging sort of like what a face primer would do. It says it’ll help instantly retouch, smooth and revitalize your beauty performance (of the face). Sounds a lot like a primer, no?

However I’m Sherlock Doris and I have free time and I decided to find out what it really is.

I found it’s a Cosmetic company owned by Samsung, gasp! No, haha I meant what it does to your face, but in all seriousness it is owned by Samsung.

I’ve tested it two ways, before foundation (or bb cream) or together, mixed.

In between I wanted to show how I looked with just regular BB Cream on. I’ll be using Lancome’s BB cream and also Photogenic Luminesse.

To be honest it doesn’t feel like any of the primers I’ve ever used but it feels oddly similar to my starfish creams, the consistency is about the same and it feels like it instantly hydrates my face after application. In fact it’s eerily similar to the Sorabee Starfish cream I previously reviewed here.

DUN DUN DUN Sherlock Doris discovered they are managed under the same company! It’s a whole new roller coaster!

It gives off the similar floral-ish scent but I much more prefer the Ultra Hydrating Cream!

Anyways into the more important information. I’ll now show you the differences between the different ways of putting it on.

First, using it as a primer, I’ll put it on before foundation. You’ll see it mattefies my face and almost makes me a bit whiter, sort of like Missha’s MM Bloomer.

SAMSUNG CSC

STAY ALL DAY MATTEFYING!

Next is just foundation so you can see how it is regularly.

SAMSUNG CSC

Now to quickly compare the both side by side.

amareth.Still002

As you can see I look much more dewy with just foundation, what you can’t see is that I felt much less hydrated with foundation, I had a few flaky spots on my forehead.

So what I really want was a compromise, I wanted dewy skin that was moisturized and that helped my complexion.

Tada, I read that you didn’t just need to just use it as a base but as combination. You just mixed a equal parts of each with a brush before application. This gave me my favorite complexion! Dewy and happy skin!

SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC

Fantastic, radiant glowing skin.

Now to compare all three.

amareth.Still001

Yep, so that’s how I like it! Mixed together in application! It creates a nice hue for winter perfect skin! BYE BYE SKIN FLAKES!

Sherlock Doris out!

Unfortunately it’s not currently available online, must be a new product (much excite!) But when it’s available I’ll link it below.

I’m giving this a 8.5/10, it’s a fantastic face primer moisturizer and together it does some voodoo magic on my face!

BNTgirl x Comelyco JEJU Organic Aloe 95% Gel

Bonsoir! Alo!

I’m back, and I’m sad to say this might be my last BNTBeauty Box series review, good news though, I’ll actually be pairing these reviews with video reviews. So hopefully everyone will get a better sense, or visual, of the product.

First up is one of my favorite products this time in my BNTBeauty Box, it’s Comelyco’s Jeju Organic Aloe 95% Soothing Gel! Aloe is so in, very haute stuff (haha, get it? It’ll help soothe your burnt skin).

First off let’s set the scene, Jeju Island (Hawaii-like but Korean?), sand between our toes and the nice heat of the sun against our skin. Ouch, too much sun maybe? Aloe to the rescue.

As the product states in it’s very informative title, it’s a gel that’s 95% aloe and is from Jeju (organic). Jeju(do) is an Korean island south of the Korean mainland, on the Korean Strait, and is a very popular honeymoon/vacation spot for tourists and nationals alike. The island is suppose to have healing properties, from it’s volcano/volcano mud, and the warmer climate in general.

Almostttttttttttttt paradiseeeeeee~

Don’t you just think about Boys over Flowers as well when you think of Aloe x Jeju?

Plus it’s organic. It contains no;

  • Artificial Colors
  • Parabens
  • Benzopenone
  • Animal raw materials
  • PG
  • PEG
  • formaldehyde

Ecofriendly Aloe is the best aloe, anytime anywhere, be it on the beach on a exotic Korean island or at home (representing the North-East of the USA here). But what does aloe do you may ask?

aloe2

Now this maybe silly, but you may also ask what does it smell like??? Aloe. I’m not very helpful here but if you go to a bubble tea shop and if they do serve aloe jelly it smells like this! So it also smells like bubble tea….yum. Less sugar-y of course.

aloe1

But really, most importantly, what does it do for your skin.

Aloe-mazing things.

For the past week, I’ve been majorly stressed; projects, exams, life, lack of sleep etc, the whole lot. It left my skin in pretty bad shape, Comelyco’s Jeju Organic Aloe 95% came in like a present sent from the skincare gods.

In the next few photos I’ll show you in the course of 3 real days how it transformed my skin complexion (dull ->radiant) and how it helped with my acne/redness greatly. Seriously aloe-rrah!

First let’s show my nose, as you can see on the tip there’s a few bumps, small imperfections (mini acne attack) and redness.

aloe3

Bippity boppity boo-aloe! Nose awesomeness.

Next major pain/acne attack area is my chin.

aloe5

Transforming my skin, one day at a time, you can see how the acne spots and red spots simply disappear, like they were never there to harass me. BNTbeauty Box savior.

Here’s a picture of my overall complexion, see the magic. Bare skin magic. I feel ready to show the world my naked face after aloe-jic happened.

aloe

Aloe-rffic!

This aloe gel has been amazing to my face for the last week or so, and I can’t say anymore great things about it, besides it’s wonderful.

But wait, there’s more!

You can buy this skin wonder here for only $5.44. Yes. You read that right. $5.44.

I’m giving this skincare magic in a jar a 10/10.

My full blessing. What’s there to lose? It costs as much a Venti latte from Starbucks, go ahead, enjoy.

Final Review for this box: iSOi’s Bulgarian Rose Pore Tightening Tonic Essence

I’m feeling a tinge of sadness as this is my last item from my most recent BNTnews beautybox, but I’m pretty excited to tell you guys about it.

Plus I get to go back to all my beauty reviews coming soon, look forward to a blush tutorial and fall look soon!

Anyways, today I’m reviewing one of my most favorite brands that I’ve received as a BNTgirl, iSOi which stands for “I’m SO intelligent.” I love their Bulgarian Rose based brand, it’s natural and beautiful.  See my past review of their blemish care serum here.

SAMSUNG CSC

I was excited because this was a multi-care product, not only does it reduce the appearance of your pores it also helps control sebum (oil and moisture control) and remove dead skin cells (exfoliation, woo).

The product is a multi-tasker, it’s a toner and an essence. With all this skin care hype nowadays  and multi-product routines required for it, a 2-in-1 product cuts time efficiently.

Using this product is easy, like any regular toner, wet a cotton ball and just wipe evenly across your face.

Ta-da! Finished, your face is left feeling refreshed and moisturized!

It leaves that same rose-y scent on your face that the serum gave me plus and nice cooling sensation as if a weight has been lifted off your face.

Not to mention in comes in the beautiful glass containers that all iSOi products come in. Nice sturdy glass that feels cool against you skin.

Using this product for a week, I think I’ve actually noticed my pores getting smaller than what they were before. So that’s nice, their logo “make your pore skinny” works.

I just love the scent, the feel and of course the container. I’m a fan of nice glass containers. Mason jars what what.

Overall I find this quite a wonderful product, yay more multitasking products, lazy girl skin care 101.

I give this bottle of rose-y love a 9/10 on my scale of awesome.

You can find it here for $34.24, totally worth the money to me.

Review: Belif Peat Miracle Revital Cream

Bonjour toute le monde (Hello everyone!), I’m here today to review part of the set I got from Belif as a part of my BNTgirl box.

The set comes with a serum and a cream, I’ll be reviewing the cream first!

SAMSUNG CSCThe cream features two natural ingredients; Peat (for which is named after) and Rhodiola Root. Both of which help cell turnover or what I presume to be as to help my new skin cells appear on the surface of your skin. For a more youthful appearance. Wow very fresh skin!

Belif is also proud to be a more natural company as they don’t use a bunch of synthetic compounds.

Such as;

  • No mineral oil
  • no synthetic fragrances
  • no synthetic colors
  • no synthetic preservatives
  • no animal-derived ingredients

First thing you notice is the pretty green pot that holds the cream, second thing is the smell, it smells very earthy-herbal-y. It smells very earthly. Which isn’t a bad thing, it smells very natural unlike all the other floral-y/vanilla scented creams I have.

SAMSUNG CSC

Texture wise it’s a more solid cream. Meaning that if I try to push my finger down I’ll have resistance against it. Which is cool.

Since most Korean skin creams are all about the more liquidy types of creams Belif’s more solid creams are a nice change.

belifcream

The cream itself fairs very well against my skin. It spreads evenly and with a cool touch. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling too greasy nor too heavy, making it a great face cream in my book.

After using it I didn’t notice much a difference beside the hydration of my skin being kept up. But that’s probably because I might be younger than the demographic of the cream’s unique skin renewal.

You can find this cream here for $64.49, which makes it a more expensive cream.

I’m giving this product a 7/10 on the Doris scale, it’s a good product but I don’t know if I can justify a $65 face cream for a 20 y/o.

This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it ❤

Review: Faith in Face Truly Waterly Cleansing Water

Hello everyone! I’m back again after my 1 month-ish hiatus, I’ve been traveling ( west coast, So Cal to be specific yayay!) Look forward to a brief video on my travels and snipbits of what my cali life was like in future posts.

But for now that I’m back and here to review one of the more awesome-er products that I got in my new BNTbeauty box!

SAMSUNG CSC

I’ll be reviewing Truly Waterly Cleansing Water by Faith in Face a Korean company that was established in 2009 and focuses on more natural beauty. A brand better known for their amazing facial masks!

Their pink and retro packaging immediately caught my eye because of their similarity to the UK brand, Soap and Glory. But what really impressed me wasn’t their cute packaging but the actual product itself.

It’s a toner AND a make up remover that claimed to even remove waterproof make up. As a lazy girl 50% of the time I love the idea of the 2-in-1 product and I was ready to put it to the test.

In the photos I’m wearing:

  • Stila’s – Stay All Day Waterproof liquid Eyeliner (personal favorite for all day stay with zero smudging)
  • The Balm’s – Nudetude palette for a soft brown smokey eye
  • Benefit’s – They’re Real! Mascara
  • Laura Mercier’s – Caviar Stick in Seashell

So for my test I’m wearing a pretty solid everyday eye look featuring one of the best if not the best waterproof, smudge-proof eyeliners I’ve ever used. Let the testing begin.

Needless to really say, I’m very VERY impressed with this product. SO PLEASED.

The 2-in-1 product removed all my eye make up without smudging, irritation, and without any effort. I’m a convert.

It has a light scent, very faint and is as the bottle says, watery. Perfect refreshing non-greasy after feel.

I used to regularly use Lancome’s Bi-Facil Eye Make Up Remover (4.2oz, $28) because I couldn’t use anything else to get rid of all my more stubborn make up but now Faith in Face’s Truly Waterly Cleansing Water has completely changed my daily cleansing routine.

It has made my routine faster (yay, 2-in-1 products!), and as a bonus, cheaper. Which is nice.

I’m giving this product a 10/10 on the Doris scale.

I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a new cleanser.

You can find this magical product on Yesstyle for $17.90 (10.14oz).

Review – Leader’s Bio-Medi-curing Wrinkle Dressing Mask

Hello pretty gals/guys, I’m back again, and with another mask review! Last time I reviewed a mask of the same brand/line and this time I’m reviewing their “Wrinkle Dressing” version, which I assumed would help with my fine lines/future wrinkles. On the packaging it says it helps with;

  •  wrinkles
  • dry skin
  • elasticity decline
  • nutrient lack (or therefore lack of?)

DSC_01112DSC_0113So like it’s predecessor it has that same weird smell that I again adjusted to eventually as I put on the mask for 25 minutes. But other than the weird smell I have no real problems with the mask. It’s the same consistent gel like material which makes me believe it’s a higher end mask, and that’s nice. DSC_0116   Ta-da! After 25 minutes I think my face looks more radiant/dewy! So that’s nice, although I don’t see much of a visual difference with the wrinkles/nutrients I do feel that my skin was more moisturized/bouncy (elasticity?!)! Solid 2/4 effects felt.

I really like how the mask makes my skin look so fresh but compared to the one before it, the other one made my skin much more dazzling. So the “wrinkle dressing” mask I give it a 6.8/10.

You can buy it here for $4.49

Review – Sorabee Balancing Aqua Cream

Welcome back!

sorabee1

So today I’ll be reviewing Sorabee’s Balancing Aqua Cream, which is one of the products I received from BNTnews as a BNTgirl!

It’s one of my favorite creams out of the batch I got of them. For a special reason….and that it turns from a gel like cream into a liquid (as shown below)!

before:
sorabee2

after!sorabee3

AHHHH it’s pretty much the coolest cream I have now, and I’m so in love with it. It contains collagen from sea stars apparently! I don’t really know how it would help hydrate/fade out scars but I loooooove the consistency.

Sorabee’s cream is suppose to brighten, hydrate and be a anti wrinkle product.

It’s absolutely wonderful and it smells like a lightly scented perfume, it’s not harsh on the nose at all and I can rub it all over my face without worries.

So to break it down;

Pros:

  • it smells good
  • it turns into magic liquid

Cons:

  • I have no idea where to repurchase it, a seller doesn’t show up in the first 2 pages of a google search (basically INVISIBLEEEEE)
  • doesn’t really feel like a great moisturizer as alcohol is listed as an ingredient

I’d rate this as a 6.8/10 as I love the liquid magic it does but I’m not so sure about it’s hydrating nor anti-wrinkle effects.

——————————————————————–

If you haven’t noticed I changed the blog’s theme and also added a side menu button

<-

In it I made a “About Me” page and quicker access if you want to see make up or food! I’ll further narrow it down in a bit.

Evidently I have nothing better to do since all my bffs have ditched meeeee, so I’ll be productive with my blog.

I know I’ve been lacking in the make up tutorials lately so I’ll have one coming up soonnnnn and maybe a hair tutorial along with it!

This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it ❤
