Buongiorno Bella, as you may know I went to Italia!
More on Italy later, I’ll be uploading my daily blogs here soon (just editing) like always. Part 1 is up though, and you can watch my vlog here. The only thing constant? My berry red lips. ^^
Today I’ll be reviewing a lipstick from one of the trendiest brands in Korea, Stylenada 3CE’s Dangerous Matte Lip Color in 807.
Milano (Milan, Italy) is one of the fashion capitals of the world, home to Versace, and many other high end brands. And I didn’t want to be less than trendy when I was there, so I used my most winter-spring transition color I had in my travel make up bag – Stylenada 3CE’s Dangerous Matte Lip Color in 807.
I loved it so much in Milan, I even used it in the day in Venezia (Venice, Italy).
Statement lips are always in, and currently a light pop of color on your lips is the poison of choice. Sometimes it may seem that a lip color is too bold for the day and to be only kept for the night, but I found #807 a middle dark raspberry to be perfect as a Day-Night lip color. It was vibrant enough to wear in the day to not stand out too much but have the focus on, and it was a nice night lip look.
Day.
Night.
So it’s not only creates a modern trendy look it comes in a angular, square modern casing. I love the case, it feels matte and modern. IT FEELS MATTE!
Bonus- it’s dangerously matte. If it were too glossy it would’ve been too much for a night look and maybe too much for even a day look, but as a matte color it kept the color much more vibrant and subdued (no blinding lights from your lips here).
I literally used it almost exclusively in Italy, it was great and photographed well. The only bummer was that it would last all day if I didn’t eat, but I ate, a lot. But application is easy, one layer and done!
I’d rate this as a 10/10 as a beauty product (viva la matte), I’ll definitely be looking to buy more shades.
Recently trending are face masks that are also quite “selfie” able. How exciting.
A skincare essential to everyday (or weekly) skincare routines are definitely face masks! They’re the extra ompf to your routine, the ‘treat yo self’ factor in your life.
I love face masks, since they essentially mean 10-20 minutes of doing absolutely nothing but relaxing.
Today I’ll be reviewing four different face masks from SNP; the Otter Mask (hydration) the Tiger Mask (wrinkles), the Dragon Mask (blemishes) and the Panda Mask (whitening).
The best part of it all, SNP donates a portion of their profits to Korea Animal Protection Society. So you look fun, feel great and help animals in need too.
Feel the animal within?
Spoiler alert I’m listening my favorites first and we’ll go down to my least favorites.
First, my favorite, oh-oh-otter mask! Hydration has been quite scarce lately in the winter months, and this has been my mini oasis in the desert.
The mask gives a instant hydrating lift to the skin and leaves a nice dewy finish. The mast gives off a light floral “aqua” scent, which isn’t too annoying to smell for a long period of time, it’s the opposite in fact.
My second favorite is was panda mask! Although I’m not too keen on the whitening skincare products, I LOVE THIS MASK! It gives off a wonderful citrus scent and it’s the cutest!
is the tiger mask! Out of the four this one may be my favorite “selfie” mask, it was so adorable, rawr! The tiger mask features the anti-wrinkling properties, which I’m not too keen about since I’m 21. But it was so cute!
My least favorite was the dragon mask. I was really excited to try this “blemish” mask, but I found that it didn’t work and I didn’t like this scent the most. 😦 But I still liked selfie-ing around with it.
I’m giving the masks a overall 7/10. Although cute, I didn’t find that the products were too effective in their properties. But they still left nice!
Horse oil, oh horse oil, where for art thou horse oil. Jeju Island apparently.
With long, dry winter months prolonging unattractive dry skin flakes on your face, extreme measures had to be taken. Exfoliation, intense scrubbing and finally Horse oil has been brought out. Extreme measures have been taken for extreme skin conditions. Bring the horses from Jeju Island (Almost paradiseee~).
Today I’ll be reviewing, from Jeju Island, Coreana Rodin SHO Special Horse Oil cream.
Like a lot of other people I have combination skin, which means I’m dry in the winter and oily in the summer. Therefore I have to switch my skincare routinely to make sure I don’t look too oily or too flaky during the different seasons.
What’s so special about Horse Oil? Natural Vitamin E, which helps with wrinkles and skin repairing (oh my dry dry skin). But it doesn’t only contain horse oil, it also features eight, yes EIGHT, other natural ingredients which help promote healthy skin and healing.
Horse oil has been wonderful for my skin, light, fast absorption and even faster moisturizing are the keys to its success. Though my face looks a bit oily/dewy immediately after application my face has been so, so, so hydrated and smooth. All my flaky, dry skin patches have healed within two weeks of usage. So much so, that I can actually use my luminous foundations which tend to cling and accentuate my dry spots.
Coreana Rodin SHO Special Horse Oil cream has been one of my favorites (skincare) for the past month, extreme hydration and moisture retention and has been wonderful. I don’t have to worry about those gross dry flakes anymore, and my face now looks luminous even in the dry winter months.
You may have noticed that I previously tried the Guerisson 9-Complex cream which is only other horse cream I’ve tried, and I can say confidently say I love this one much more. It feels lighter, and absorbs much better into the skin. Not only that but it’s much cheaper than the Guerisson cream, $50 vs $30.
Flawless skin, for the brutal winter months.
Although I can’t wait for spring, I’ve decided to use this entire cream up even into the spring to keep up with my smooth skincare routine (why ruin something that’s going so well, amiright).
This cream is wonderful for any dry, flaky combination skinned person like me.
Go ahead and try it, which you can get here for ~$31.
I’m rating this a 9/10 .
This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it (◕w◕ア
Something strange, yet wonderful happened, I got to review the same item twice! Or really they sent me the same item I had gotten previously, and loved, and in a even bigger size!
I’d just like to link you my previous review here where you can read my in dept review of iSOi Bulgarian Rose Blemish Serum.
You can see my previous video review of it below.
The fresh rose scent and rapid absorption were my favorite features previously.
I can’t tell you how excited I was to get it again, like, super duper. I really loved it the first time I got it in the 20ml size, so much so I emptied it! I don’t often empty products because I get so many to try out, but I kept using iSOi Bulgarian Rose Blemish Serum until it was gone, so I was sad when I used it all.
I didn’t feel like forking out around ~$50 for it, but now that I’ve gotten it again, I’m seriously considering stocking up on it and using them forever!
The container still maintains it’s luxurious glass bottle, and comes with a even nicer pump now, or what I think looks nicer. Overall I think they did well with the size upgrade (now 35ml) as you get more bang for your buck now.
The serum’s suppose to help with blemishes but I found that it mainly helped with my overall complexion. It helped with my uneven skin tone that I occasionally get, and with my minor acne I get from hormones.
Check out my other iSOi reviews; toner, and cream.
Sometimes I’m sent things I’m pleasantly surprised with.
This time was no exception to that rule, I had literally never heard of stamping previously since I get my nails done at a salon, since gel lasts forever, a month, and I don’t have to worry about it chipping ugly. So I had mixed feelings at the beginning when I saw this product; confused, curious and finally captivated.
Today I’ll be reviewing KONAD Stamping Nail Art Kit!
Nails are the final touches to a woman, you can see her life in her fingers, or that’s what I believe. Short, almost touching the skin? Violinist or Pianist (known by experience), Neon colors, raves. French manicure, classic perfectionist. Your hands and nails tell a lot about the person, especially if they catch your eye. I think they’re the type of final touches that mostly only other women notice but are still appreciated.
I love DIYs. I love things you do with your hands (avid crochet/knitter/drawer) and I was pretty excited about this product once I had figured it out.
As you’ll see in the video, once you get the hand (haha, get it punny) of it, it’s no problem at all. The only problem initially was, speed. You had to act relatively fast in order to produce good results with the stamper, but with some time I got in the hang of it.
The instructions are quite literal since you have to be really quick, step 1: apply polish, step 2: scrape off excess, step 3: stamp on, and step 4: stamp off onto nail.
As you could see in my video, repeat steps 1-4 and you’ll be fine.
Best part? Even if you mess up you can quickly rub away lightly with nail polish remover and start over without ruining your base polish! Super easy.
It lasts as long as your polish lasts, the design itself stays on once you put the top coat on, it won’t budge and that’s perfect.
Cute designs with minimal effort, and I even got asked by someone where I got my nails done (at home hehe)! Perfect nails done by yourself at home without a salon visit.
I’m giving it a 9/10 on the Doris Scale of Awesomeness, it’s easy and fun!
You can get it here (~$14) or at their actual site here.
This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it (◕w◕ア
I’m back for the 4th season of BNTgirls after being chosen as the best from last season, can you believe it? I can’t. It has been such a thrilling time for me to be blogging. I hope to do it forever, and ever, even when I’m all wrinkly.
Today I’ll be reviewing a much talked about product, even Lisa Eldridge, included it in her haul when she was in Korea recently!
I even made a youtube review for it!
I’ll be reviewing Too Cool For School’s DinoPlatz UFO Multibox in shade 21!
I constantly experience feeling underdressed (yoga leggings + sweaters are my mantra), and then being invited to go out with friends. I don’t even want to be seen outside. This box helps me look a bit more put together, with a fresh face, anyone can look like they’re ready to take on the world, even me. From 0 to flawless in 3.5 seconds (haha more like 5minutes, but you guys get it right?) I look great in a flash and I don’t even have to put too much effort in it. The dinoplatz is officially my Swiss army knife of make up. A carry all/do all for the bogged down busy bee or lazy bee in all of us.
I love Bb foundation cushions, or really the idea of them, especially since I had bought the Missha Magic Cushion, but I had never actually bought a Bb cushion because I had previously thought I invested too much in western brands for them to be worth it. Boy, was I wrong.
This Bb foundation literally feels alien to me, because it’s so awesome. I’m the self proclaimed queen of lazy and I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner. I love products that work well and do multiple things to decrease my workload. Too Cool of School’s Dinoplatz Multibox literally does multiple things in a box!
Like the rest of Too Cool For School’s product line, the packaging is adorable. Super cute, very cute.
Shade 21 is the lighter of two shade options, for skin tone/color references I’m about a NC20 and I use shade Gobi (NC20) in the new NARS all day luminous foundation (review soon!). Shade 21 is a bit light on me but I think I can work it especially if I wear it in the winter when I don’t travel to sunny places. But feel free to use shade 23 if you’re a bit darker (NC25)!
It comes with (obviously) a Bb Foundation, (and not so obviously) an, amazing concealer, lip/blush cream, and a porefiller. I could honestly just use the concealer and Bb cushion and be done with it all.
The Bb foundation and concealer are both especially wondrous. Both feature fantastic finish and flawless coverage. The Bb foundation itself has a medium/high/full coverage finish, covers all complexion flaws and finishes it off with the dewy/glow skin that all Asians strive for. As a added plus like all bb foundations it comes with multiple foundations (multiple of a multifunction box! multiception!). It has whitening properties, SPF 50 +++ PA (that’s right, take that sun rays!!!!!) and even anti wrinkle properties. Dew dew dewy skin wow, very glow, wow, much flawless. I feel like I’m Yoona (from SNSD) in a commercial wearing it, my face feels poreless and flawless. Baby skin? Check. Aegyo? Check. Wink? Double check.
The concealer, oh my goodness, the concealer is absolute perfection. I want a huge jar of this on my desk ASAP, where has this been all my life??? Effortlessly blends softly away into the skin and covers my dark, super dark, very dark eye bags (#englife). It feels light and it stays on forever. I want this forever.
The blush/lip cream is quite buildable, it goes in light but you can build it up to a heavier pinkish shade if you feel like. Like all lip/cheek products it works better as only one of the two products, in this case it’s a much better cheek/blush than it is as a lip product, which isn’t bad anyways since it’s always better to have a nice flush to your cheeks.
But the best part is that your face looks great even after wearing it all day, I took multiple photos showing the transition through my 10 hour school day. Even after a quick 30 minute work out session the make up stayed on (I don’t recommend working out with face make up, but sometimes a girl gotta do what she gotta do, you know?).
So if you’ve been searching for the Swiss Army knife of make up in your life, look know further! Invest yourself in a Multibox ASAP!
I’m giving it a 10/10 awesome beauty points.
If you’re interested you can buy it herefor $34 on Amazon.
This product was given to me to review as a BNTgirl but has a 100% my thoughts in it (◕w◕ア
Inspired by 4MINUTE’s Cold Rain mv, the BNTgirls decided to each do a make up look based off of a group member in the MV. I got Ga-yoon, dark lips on point.
So let me take you guys on a winter wonderland, err, I mean show you how I did this (see picture below or video).
Alright let’s do this.
lenses
primer
powder
foundation
Using the Wayne Goss method for dewy skin, powder then foundation, I used;
LANCOME – LA BASE PRO (primer)
LANCOME – DUAL FINISH MATTE PORCELAINE 1 (powder)
LANCOME – PHOTOGENIC LUMENESSENCE BUFF6W (foundation)
I applied the foundation using my beauty blender for a more even natural finish.
Next using the NARS contour kit in Paloma, I contoured my face, creating. a more chiseled face, contouring my cheek bones and around the face.
Continuing with the contouring, I used my YSL Touche Eclat (2) to highlight portions of my face, as shown below.
After that I did my brows using:
ANATASIA BEVERLY HILLS – DIP BROW MED BROWN
ETUDE HOUSE – COLOR MY BROWS 1
Next up is the most intense part of the tutorial, the eye make up. Bling bling~
For my eyeshadows I used Urban Decay’s Naked2 Palette and theBalm’s Nude’tude Palette.
I first primed my eyes with Urban Decay’s Original potion primer all over my lids to make sure the shadows intensify and stay put all day.
Next I put NAKED 2 – FOXY all over my lid.
UD potion primer on dem lids
Foxy all over, naked2
After that base it’s basically a gradation, or a build up of color that looks natural. I like to create a sort of smoked out outer corner V shape (like shown below in the big picture).
First off I’m going to use NAKED2 – TEASE in the crease of my eyelid and then with a pointed shadow brush I’m going to build the gradation (brown hues)
And then I’m going to put a light shimmer on the middle of my lids NAKED2 HALF BAKED.
After that I’m going to go back in with a lighter more skin colored highlighting shade ( NAKED 2 – BOOTY CALL) in the inner corners of my eyes and on my lower lash area creating a aegyo affect (supah cute).
After that I’ll highlight my brow bone again with NAKED2 – FOXY and tightline my eyes using CLINIQUE – GEL EYELINER TRUE BLACK.
After that my camera died, awks. So I had to charge it, in the mean time I put on false eyelashes and mascara.
HEROINE MAKE – LONG & CURL MASCARA
EYLURE – NATURALITES EYELASHES 020
Using Benefit’s Boi-ing (01) I covered up my lips to help create a finer lip in the end game.
Starting up the lip game, in this look the lipstick or the lips are the statement piece. All focus should go on the lips so a little prep goes a long way.
I’ll be using LANCOME – COLOR DESIGN in PRETTY BURGUNDY for my lipstick shade.
By using the X mark technique for the top of the lips, you make a more defined top lip.
With the lips being the statement piece of the look it never hurts to go back in with a concealer (in my case YVES SAINT LAURENT – TOUCHE ECLAT 2) and make sure the lips are on point.
After that, we’re finished. Ta-da, my 4MINUTE Cold Rain Gayoon look is finished, let me filter it up and we have the finished look!
Thanks for reading guys, be sure to check out everyone’s looks too!
